The first time I played this I picked poison, is that good?

I don't know if anyone can help me out with this, but whenever I use ash magic, my attacks are invisible. I have no idea why and it doesn't happen with any other magic. Does anyone know anything about this

It makes me kind of sad because crystal is such a cool magic but it’s like the third worst in the game because the only thing it has going for it is base impact and clashing

How do you choose the location of the explosion/pillar/shockwave? Because I'm seeing it happen with Lightning. The guy made an explosion not around him, but in front of him.
