SONIC 4 Should Fix SONIC 3’s Biggest Problems... #shorts

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 might be a fan-favorite, but it exposes a major issue for the franchise: too many characters and not enough time for all of them. Tom and Maddie, once key human characters, barely had roles in this installment. Similarly, Tails and Knuckles—staples of the games—were sidelined, and even Sonic's own arc felt overshadowed by the focus on Shadow's story. Looking ahead, Sonic 4 could address this by trimming its cast. With Metal Sonic and Amy Rose confirmed, the film risks repeating Sonic 3’s mistakes. Shadow might be better off getting his own spinoff instead of returning. Jim Carrey’s Robotnik is uncertain but could step aside to give Metal Sonic the spotlight. To balance things, the movie could split its characters into duos, with Sonic and Amy leading the main plot while Tails, Knuckles, Tom, and Maddie handle meaningful side missions. Learning from Sonic 3, the next film must focus on giving every character a role that matters.
