ОтветитьEven for a new cheap car this still manages to be the cheapest and worst. Yes it’s cheap transport with a warranty but c’mon, there are much better options.
The only people I see buying these cars are less well-off people who just want a newer car, usually tired of driving around old beaters. Makes me sad every time. I’ll bet their old beater was better than this hunk of garbage, and even if they did need a new car, for the love of all things holy get something else.
That thing doesn't have a steering wheel lock, because Mitsubishi probably thought tat no one will want to steal it.
ОтветитьThe worst new car you can buy? It‘s affordable, it has a decent fuel economy and it does the job without taking up a huge amount of space. Then talk about expensive American cars, which loose in one year almost the value of this car … I‘m pretty sire, that this car will still do it‘s job in 10 years, while a lot more expensive cats are totaled, because repairs are not worth the effort
ОтветитьEven a Reliant Robin has a bigger engine than this thing
Ответитьi kind of love that engine bay layout. imagine being able to just reach in and pull the engine out with your bare hands
ОтветитьMy mom currently drives a 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage. Yeah, it is cheap. About the cheapest car you can buy new in US these days. (Or was. They no longer make it). Its also simple making it easy to work on, tough, and its about the most fuel efficient car you can buy these days that isn't a hybrid. In 2018, they refreshed the vehicle with a new HD radio with a backup camera. In 2020, the redesigned Mitsubishi Mirage was released which added much more. They also softened the suspension so it would be a bit more comfortable.
ОтветитьCheap doesn't necessarily mean bad. This is a fair no-frills car that doesn't cost a fortune to maintain.
ОтветитьJ’ai une mirage je n’est aucun regret fiable 43 MPG très amusant hiver bon système de son air climatique 201$ a month payment elle m’apporte travailler elle fait la job bonne garantie
ОтветитьTo get a good Mitsubishi you have find a Galant from 2011
ОтветитьThis car is awesome...very reliable, very economical, automatic windows....just anything you need. Actually has quite some space for its size.
Btw....the 70 HP is 1.0. There is a 1.2 version that is 80HP.
It's perfect when you live in a very busy and dense place like the NL.
I love it.
If want slow?
Try a 49cc honda scooter
With no wind- 38mph- fast! 😂
bring this car back. these cars are criminally underrated. perfect city car. cheap to own, cheap to maintain. in 2025, where a Hyundai costs 50k dollars, these are the cars we need. alot of people just need a ride, they dont need the nonsense in cars these days.
ОтветитьI just watched a Mitsubishi ad before the video 😭
ОтветитьIt’s kind of funny, I think about half of these cost cutting measures are things I could live with and would happily get a cheaper car that has oddball problems with the interior. It’s just that it needs to be remotely tolerable to drive!
ОтветитьCompared to american junk it’s perfectly reliable.
ОтветитьI love my 8th gen Civic. I think the Mirage is awesome except for one thing. That being it is just a little slow for normal use. Especially at altitude ang going up hill. I saw a video, I believe was taken in Colorado, and it was like 40 seconds 0 to 60 in the mountains on a hill (not a crazy slope, a highway in the mountains though). My Civic is no speed demon, but, it has some pep for merging and inclines. This vehicle caught my interest (but I think my Civic will last another 10+ years anyways). I like how it is simple and no added tech junk I don't want. I would never get a CVT though, but they have a manual. But, seems they discontinued it after 2024. Nissan has a low cost vehicle too, the Versa. But, I would never get a Nissan.
ОтветитьI like the idea of this car putting back on non needed objects to save customers money
Ответитьits a cummuter car pal take it easy its not a corvette or caddy!!!
ОтветитьIt's not much less capable than a second generation Prius and taxi drivers all over the place here use them still anyway even uphill in the snow
ОтветитьIt sounds like it drives like a Subaru 360 or an original Fiat 500 or an original Volkswagen beetle for the mid 20th century
ОтветитьIt's like an economical little truck, you don't have those anymore but at least you have these. The Honda fit was more of like a van and I'm surprised they don't still make those
ОтветитьByop, bring your own paint for the door lock indicators 😆 not unlike the gas cap for the Toyota Tacoma. Although the Tacoma is probably way better on gas for what it is compared to this
ОтветитьI saw a Honda fit and a 1995 civic park next to each other and they think the civic is one of the best cars and one of the best years but it looked more like a go-kart compared to the Honda fit
ОтветитьYou can get a couple bicycles in the back of a Mazda mx3, so treating this like a micro van kind of like a smaller version of the Honda fit is a no-brainer and a plus over an older subcompact liftback like that
ОтветитьUnlike any other chair I've had for the past 5 years besides my 25-year-old Camry this thing has head rests so that's a plus for me
ОтветитьLots of flat wooden seating and benches are a proud rugged cultural aspect of where I live anyway
ОтветитьFog light switch doubles as a fidget spinner, that should be a marketing thing
ОтветитьAll kinds of subcompact SUV these days are three cylinder turbos or I think even three cylinder hybrids so this is par for the course and cheaper and less parts and easier for the computers
Ответить1996 was the car my family rented once
ОтветитьI use aux all the time
ОтветитьFour speakers for each corner of the car it surrounds you with sound
ОтветитьGood for small towns
ОтветитьThis car is very unamerican as it is not a gigantic, astronomically expensive, unreliable gas guzzler. Plus people look at you weird when you drive it. Cancelling it was absolutely right decision by Mitsubishi.
ОтветитьI feel like a rich person would buy this car just to throw it off a cliff 💀
Ответитьwho cares in uk its cheap to run free tax cheap insurance and fantastic on fuel WHO CARES WHAT HIS SAYING
ОтветитьYes, Doug, I will play with it while I drive.
ОтветитьYeah, a lot of oversight. However, I do enjoy the simplicity.
ОтветитьNitpicking nonsense. Dougie is a Porcheeee snob, anyway. Not one thing he complained about, in this video, really matters at all. He obviously walked around and looked for things about which he could complain.
The Mirage is an ECONOMY car. As such, it lives up to that quite well. It's FAR more efficient, in every sense, than any Porcheee.
So, overall, I have to say....go sod off, Dougie dum-dum. You opinion matters not at all.
have the misfortune of renting a 2024 mirage while my ford flex is in the shop. barely gets up to 75 on i-40 and it rattles like a diamondback
ОтветитьWith the cost of living crisis nowadays, this car is at the top of that score list
ОтветитьIt has anti theft because nobody will steal this car 😂😂
ОтветитьWe have had ours for 8 years, problem free, and like the car. If you don't like it don't buy it or sell yours and get something else.
Ответитьantitheft features? for what? you have to pay someone to take that thing.
Ответитьthis video feels more like a roast session; full of insults that I can take as compliments XD
ОтветитьDoug is the type of guy to try to get a Mitsubishi Mirage to go over 100 miles an hour.
ОтветитьA total dork
