wait, people LIKE small talk??
ОтветитьAs a swede, this is not true at all... I'm autistic and hate small talk, and people here get deeply offended by that fact :(
ОтветитьIt's interesting to see how one's frame of reference changes perspective. For us Finns Swedes are extremely talkative and smalltalkers.
ОтветитьSo being anti-social is celebrated.
ОтветитьIt's great to know there's people like me. Thank you for that.
ОтветитьActually, the girl in the elevator worries about being seen as self-absorbed, rather than weird...
ОтветитьIf that professor changed her answer from 10 years to it taking 10 hours for the coconut and 1 hour for the peach it would be more showing of the differences
ОтветитьOver-generalization being avoided is appreciated, but in this particular cultural aspect, it's safe to say that it applies to all of Scandinavia.
ОтветитьSo sweden is is the first step to declin of humanity
ОтветитьI am moving to Sweden
ОтветитьRemember hearing from a Swedish lady talking about another Swedish lady on subway talking nervously and loudly to her friend (Swedes never talk loudly on public transportation) about being able to small talk to strangers in shopping centre because it was near Christmas and she wouldn’t look like a creeper was nice for her. 🤣🤣🤣
That’s how Swedish Swedes are! 😂
Wtf that first girl lives in the same building as me 😂 It’s identical at least
ОтветитьSo guess autism doesn’t exist in Sweden 😂
Ответитьi didnt know i was swedish xD
ОтветитьWho made the funny skits in swedish? I couldn't stop smiling, it's comedy gold!
ОтветитьI see some people saying it’s just the culture. But that’s a dicey statement mainly because I’ve observed for example older Norwegians from a different time are way more social than their younger counterparts. This anti social attitude is relatively new and the issue is that it doesn’t make sense to live that way for most people.
ОтветитьI couldn't survive in Sweden. 😮 This feels so unnatural.
ОтветитьNow I know why my Scandinavian friends ghosted me 😅
ОтветитьWe are a lonely country with depression that is high.
ОтветитьIts not that we dont do small talk in sweden but its when we are at work or have a meet up. randomly striking up small talk is weird.
