I don't know enough YET for this to be meaningful. I mean the difference in kHz and WAV bit rate. Without some foundation in these rate differences it makes little sense.

is there any video that actually shows what is lo cut in zoom recorder.

Thanks!! Is there any way to disable use of one of the microphones temporarily, so as to only have one cardiod recording pattern instead of to for recording vocals.

Hey mate I'm using a rode ntg4+ with my zoom h4npro it records a very high air noise in the background not sure what I'm doing wrong

What audio setup and mic did you use to record this video?

The explanation is very clear and the title is useless. I still don't know about the low-cut filter.

I recorded my band recently and I used the Zoom H4n recorder, ( a total of 30 minutes ) We played 9 songs but all 9 songs are under one folder? Is there anyway of putting each song in one folder?

How do i convert a recording that is 4chn to mp3, so that i get the input from the mixer and the microphone input from the crowd?

Over at The Discriminating Gamer, we use the Zoom H4n for audio recording for our videos.  For most of my board game reviews I've used a Wav file, but I've noticed that when I tried to record longer audio sessions- even though the display told me I had 2+ hours, it usually states the card is full after about 45 minutes.  Anybody else have that problem?  If I start recording game sessions that run up to 2+ hours, should I use the variable MP3 format?  Will it still be useable audio quality for the videos?

When I go into "REC" on my Zoom. The only options it gives me are: "Auto Rec" and "File Name" . . . that's it. Why is the one in this video different?

i bought zoom 4h from amazon the only thing i can't find  the record format ... so  
when i follow your steps menu >>> record >> i find two steps :  auto rec and file name ... and also when i press the bittern number 4 for short cut BUTERN didn't work ... i want to change the record format to  48khz/24 bit  so why i can't find it under rec .. you think i should format the machine to factory reset thank you

I shot a live show at 23.986fps, and recorded sound on my zoom h4n at 44.1ghz 16 bit.  I synced it up and about 5 minutes into the footage the audio starts to drift out of sync.  Did I use the wrong audio settings?

my h4n isn't showing the comp/limiter. it goes from lo cut to monitor and the the comp/limiter isnt there. can anyone help me please?

Wow, and excellent explanation of formats and trade-offs. I'm surprised more sound buffs haven't found this video.

I have an H4N that I intend to use at the "Rally to Restore Sanity" for field interviews I will later incorporate into my podcast. I have to say that these videos are outstanding and saved me a ton of time trying to figure out the manual as it relates to the best settings for that environment...these videos literally pointed out such a scenario with recommendations for settings...brilliant job, thank you. :)

I just bought an H4N, but I can't figure out how to capture the card from the H4N to my computer. I have plugged in the card and the wire, but my computer doesn't prompt me. Do you have a vid for this?
