I ran into problems on how to install grub2 on linux and i suspected that something messed up when i was installing pop os alongside windows so I'm planning to uninstall it completely and start anew.

does that mean windows will run normally if grub bootloader wasn't installed successfully?

It doesn't work. After I reboot I see a black screen with white text saying Grub with a kind of a command prompt. I restarted my laptop (asus) and pressed f2, then in the bios, f8 to get to the boot menu and selected window, which rebooted the laptop to windows. If I reboot from windows, I always get back to this FCKN grub prompt, need to reboot with f2, then f8, then select windows, everytime. It doesn't seem to save my preference in the bios.

I don't have the option to delete mine.
The red X disappears when I click to delete the Linux partition. But when I click on the other partitions the Red X comes back. I just cant get it to format the kali partition.

Hi guys, I hope I can get a bit of help even if the video is old.
I am running Linux pop_os with the rEFInd boot manager.
I just wanna know if that "Rebuild MBR" option is only for deleting the grub boot manager or it will also delete the rEFInd one?

Does this still work if my windows 10 is on 1 drive and linus is on another drive?

TANX! At the start-up's "grub dilemma", after Deleting & Merging the Mint OS partitions (using Partition Ass't.)...

... had to ReInstall Mint, just to get back to a working computer :-)

Who knew about that MBR trick!!? And.. shouldn't Linux provide a FAR-better method this can be done?

Mint's offer to "remove ALL OSs on a HD" (when using their Installer to remove) seems..."abusive" to the User who just wanted to test the OS!!
