The most useful tip i can say is to ignore stupid ass tips and tricks videos and just listen to the comments because it actually has useful tips tricks, videos never do for some reason.

i like how a lot of these tips i already did because i was playing through all three games back to back for the first time, they really make you think like a survivor, and it’s incredibly immersive completing some of the objectives and finding secrets even make me feel happy

The huge gorillas in the ending are actually blind, you don't need to fight them, just sneak around them. They can hear and smell though, so better be quiet and keep them at a fair distance. I learned this the hard way, after wasting all of my molotovs and ammo on them...

This tip from me is pretty obvious for experienced players, but new players could learn this the easier way.. so you better remove your gas mask before a fight, because the glass might break and you will need resources to repair it. As I have mentioned, you don't get damage by "choking" but you can die if you don't out it back on in time. This way you can also spare gas mask filters, as I have mentioned previously.

The gas mask before thr armored glass ugrade has more armor by 2. So you better use that instead as armored glass is only only good for not breaking, which you can patch anyways.

You can save on your gas mask filters by only using them for one breath. You won't get damage my breathing toxic air, you just die if you wait too long before putting back on. With this method, your filters can last much longer, and this trick is pretty useful in SAM DLC, where you need to go through smoke clouds with a boat.

You can find the compass in the first stop of the train in a building before you get in the boat. You can’t install it until a little later but just fyi.

If you're in a team, they can tear down the enemies and they won't die like in 2033 or Last Light. That can come in handy on ranger hardcore. Down the roof's ladder to have Krest clean up or sit on the sideline when the aurora gets a visit.

Someone spots you all the time? Remind yourself of Metal Gear Solid and make some noise elsewhere with the cans. The worst passage on the boat can be done this way.

Some side missions are deprived from a lot of the pickups, others are not. In the Volga chapter, get to the gas station and the poker game gone wrong near the storage of the draisine.

If you do the higher difficulty runs, do so in new game+ and use the modifiers to get 24h day/night cycle to do long missions in moonlight and scroll down in the menu to add 'my weapons' to get the loadout of the previous playthrough. The railgun upgrade is quite helpful and switching to the airtight valve for low noise.

What is already dead can't follow you into airvents.

Before the last mission in the dead city you can adjust your vest to store more medi packs and filters. You have to do this at the bench BUT before you can do it for the last time when you walk to the back of the train with miller. Upon entering the bench menu all will be at max, so 10 medi packs and 30 minutes of filters. Add the 5min extended filter to the mask too.

Get rid of every spitting leech creature from afar on the boat.

In scripted radiation sequences don't use medi packs just cause there is blood on top of the screen.

The sound of picking up material when you dismantle things or at your limit for certain items usually goes towards materials. The sound will change when you reached the max. In easier difficulties you can go way up in the thousands but on ranger hardcore 300 scrap metal and 300 chemicals are the max. If you can't use it atm based on storage, craft ammo cause you can dismantle it later on to have more crafting materials than otherwise.

You'll throw where you aim at. So if it counts you can aim quickly over the iron sights or optic and then throw you secondary item.

Switch to 'hold' mode for quick time events. You can simply hold the button down shortly before it comes around.

If you hang around one place for too long all three auto saves will be at the some spot that may get you in a bad position.

A loud gun can be beneficial if you're in a good position and can bring enemies that don't cause negative karma to you.

In lots of sections running over a handrail or close to a wall keeps your feet dry and therefore reduces dirt on the guns. But I've read in the other post a better alternative method so you got none of you arms in hand.

Throwing knives can bounce off of enemies clothing/backpacks and I had one bouncing off of a dog O.o
So get a second one in or use the crossbow with the pump attachment for short ranges.

On higher difficulty avoid burning enemies cause you can easily burn yourself and a medi pack won't do. This is especially bad on iron mode where you got one save on the start of a chapter only.

When you jump down from something while crouching, stand up while falling to reduce the distance you drop till your legs reach the ground. If you have to jump from a ship after acquiring a certain attachment you can jump on your parked bus.

Almost all hanging corpses have something for you.

You can take out a torch by shooting at it but that doesn't mean it's helpful when one is close by.

I haven't verified it yet, but I think that at least attachments that you have more than once get lost when loosing your backpack in the Taiga chapter. I had at last two green lasers and later could only install one on the kalasch again. So I don't use good attachments before I start that chapter.

Heres a real tip for you: Holster your weapon when you sprint, and you will sprint way longer before getting exhausted.

Here’s a good tip: always set up “weapon classes” for scenarios you’ll get into, shotguns do more damage to mutants than other weapons so bring a shotgun when you know there’s an infestation somewhere, if it’s bandits, bring a rifle.

There are actaully 4 in the first location. all the ones you said and there is an extended filter upgrade, its actually super useful. Its in this like shed near the pack of mutant dogs by the train track.

I didn't get the metal detector I just left that chapter and I don't want to play through the game again because I hate the spiders

Here's a question I have that could be a good tip, how exactly do you get back all the attachments you lose when you fall in the river in the taiga and if so is there a way to prevent it? Because by the time you get your backpack back from the pirate you have to rediscover all of your attachments from weapons that are dropped like the extended mag and stock for the kalash as an example. By the time I'm at the final level I'm missing like half the attachments I found over time like the magazine for the shambler, the green laser sight, etc. I don't know if maybe I somehow missed something or it's a bug but it's kind of annoying having just gone back after some time to replay the story and I'm missing alot of the valuable attachments I found. I never even leave a gun on the ground without completely taking all the parts and will actually take the time to make absolutely sure I didn't miss anything.

Like in other metros, if you have an AI person able to kill things for you, get in a defensible position that is out of the way. Let the AI kill most of them with their better gun and bullets.

When dealing with mutants, sometimes running to objective is better than standing still to find and kill a thing when it is already hitting you.

Hang out by each friendly NPC and they will talk to you. Character and story building time, pause and get a snack they are each quite chatty.

I finished the game and didn't know I could use the backpack to change parts :(

For new players, make sure to take out the slavers in Volga. Free the captured fanatics and they’ll give you a key to get NVGs near the end of the level

In all 3 metro games, i would take little breaths from the gas mask and take it off until artyom starts suffocating to save on filter time while exploring

I haven’t met that guy but once I crossed south to the first safe house in volga where u find the A-Shot, 1st crafting table I found... I was given the option to craft the compass on my wrist gear... so u don’t have to meet that guy first... that’s a myth.

It is written N/D to use medkit in metro exodus but it's not working . Can anybody tell me how to have a medkit in metro exodus?

Might be 2 years late, but never late to help out someone. The .44 magnum is a great alternative to the sniper for medium-to-long-range combat. It still hits like a truck way out there, but the drop is something to get used to. Great if you're not looking to stealthily engage sniper targets, but for stealth, it's a one-shot machine with the suppressor, so long as you shoot humans in the body and mutants in the head. Saved my life so many times to keep such a weapon on me, and I use it as what I consider to be my primary weapon of choice.

The Ashot is a great "general running around gun" because it isn't affected by dirt. It can get totally filthy and it doesn't affect it at all. Fancy guns don't work worth a hoot when they're grubby--anything that's full auto is greatly affected by dirt.

if your cover is blown slap the regular barrel on the Ak ( no reason to use the silencer anymore) really good for running and gunning.

I only focused on story mission and ignored all side stuffs and ended up only finding night vision now i am in caspia this time i will be sure to explore each corner of the map 😅

if ur fighting the first mutant bear, after it breaks out u can go back to the rope and cut it, i spent countless hours trying to kill it, i wounded it once, and when it ran away my dumdass followed him and fell off the cliff and died. that part aggravated me to the point i started punching my deck till my knuckles bled. wat pissed me off more was that all i had to do was cut the rope again, plus it didnt hav a health bar ahhhhhhhh. so dont be a dumbass like me

Always keep your flashlight/NV charged

If your running low on scrap metal, just throw your DECOY tin cans then pick them back up, it gives you a little scrap each time, rinse and repeat.

Here a really helpfully tip for the fully armored people shot him in the head a few time till he get stunned then use a molly i found this out with the cannibal section where i panic throw a molly at him and boom he died instantly
