That's is real
ОтветитьWow ! This is super helpful ❤
Ответитьi also performed a lot of design task, this is cool that companies accept the lowfi designs as solutions here in India, all you required is the hifi good looking visual designs with in one day of tasks submission with good research work : ( rather than solution they value visual design, after successful interviews and getting rejected and the employer saying me your solution is up to the mark but we are looking for the good visual aesthetics ! lol product design here is just a visual or UI design
ОтветитьWhere can I get that sketchbook?
ОтветитьInspiring. Thanks!
ОтветитьI hate the fact that I didn't find this video much earlier ~ Thanks for your generous sharing!
ОтветитьYou are amazing! I was in the last round of interview and received a take home design assignment. As a new grad, I was freaking out about how to present everything and I found this video. It was tremendously helpful and I followed the design process and got the job! They were impressed by my presentation, thank you so much for sharing!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьReally helpful video. I have two questions, did you do any research? From what I can tell there wasn't but this seems like it made sense(considering user, etc) Also can I apply this style of process to a personal portfolio project?(concept project for portfolio to try and get a job or clients.) Thanks!
ОтветитьFollowed this tutorial and definitely was very satisfied with my presentation, my second interview went really well. I, unfortunately, didn't get hired because I showed too little research (IDK how much more research they want in these 8 hours, I already did more than Femke here) and they assumed I didn't do ANY desk research or any research that got me the insights I showed in the presentation ( like the goals, needs). Yes, I know, quite weird to have 2 ux designers make this assumption about me when they did have the opportunity to ask me what I did for (desk) research to come to these insights.
This presentation is perfect, the flow and order are great and clear. I think for some companies, it would be better to show more of the process before like the desk research. Even if they ask you to present the project like they were clients.
IDK maybe the company I applied to was just weird. But it can't hurt to add more text and more process EVEN if you think a client would not understand or value it, in the end you will be judged by them as a ux designer/lead, not them as client!).
Learned a lot from this video and will keep using this format for future assignments. But I learned that I should focus less about the presentation audience and ignore that brief a bit, and focus more on my personal presentation to them as ux designers. Unfortunately!
bless your calming soul brother
ОтветитьThanks for this awesome content. What's your twitter handle please?
ОтветитьLOVE IT!
ОтветитьCan I Get This Template please?
ОтветитьPlease make home tour video ☺️☺️
ОтветитьDid you spend a lot of time doing secondary research or user research? If so, how did you approach it?
Ответитьwow, thank you so much💪
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing this, Femke! I had to do a 24h design challenge and your approach has helped me a lot when solving the challenge! I got accepted for a product design internship this summer and they told me that I've "rocked the challenge"!!! Thank you so much again! I appreciate all the hard work and dedication that you put into your content!
Ответитьi just wanna thank you again for creating such helpful and deep content, you cant imagine how grateful we are and how much you are helping us to make progress in our careers!
ОтветитьThis is such a helpful video! I love how you broke down the process and explained it clearly. Would you recommend adding a section of how you would measure the success of your solution after the prototype? Thank you for your amazing content :)
ОтветитьGreat video - thank you so much
ОтветитьThis is really amazing the way you approached it! I hope you won the position…but tell us, you sure no one helped you with this task? 🤔
ОтветитьBrilliant work Femke!! It's really helpful for my current interview. Thank you❤
ОтветитьBookmarked =D
ОтветитьVery nice!
ОтветитьHow did you come up with assumptions, and tradeoffs. Also what exactly are trade-offs?
ОтветитьHow did you validate this though? At the end of the day you’re just putting a process into place and guessing/ assuming.
ОтветитьThank you very much! The explanation was clear and helpful.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you.
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьI love the simplicity of the final design & how in-depth your user journey was for Zara. How could I practice different assignments getting into UX Design? p
ОтветитьOkay...
I would say that the project would have outstood a little better but you chose to keep it straight and simple. Still, the user journey and the storytelling were very crisp and easygoing. the UI seemed to be easy to use.
Nice work done...
ADB gal.
Thanks a lot for this! Helped my finish my design task much quickly.
Ответитьthanks, very useful!)
ОтветитьHi femke
Could you tell me what is mean by constraints and why should we consider constraints?
I might repet myself, but this is pure gold.
ОтветитьThank you vert much. its brilliant!!
ОтветитьThank you ❤️, you've been a wonderful help .
ОтветитьIt's amazing how you did all that in 8 hours!!! I feel it would take me a week...
Indeed it's a very helpful video as other ones in your channel that together tell your story as a designer. Thank you!
This was very informative. My company has just posted an Apprenticeship for UX based product design, and I'm seriously thinking about applying for the program. I just didn't know exactly what that looked like prior to watching your videos. My background is in fraud prevention, but this line of work is very intriguing. Thank you so much 😊
ОтветитьThis is great. I did a more elaborate UI to a design test recently and all I got is a thank you for improving one of their feature and giving them insightful feedback. They chose someone else. This was for a Kickstarter scheme job in the UK which is for 16-24yo.
ОтветитьWow, thanks
ОтветитьThank you femke for this!
ОтветитьThis is an amazing presentation, and you're obviously an incredibly thoughtful designer. I didn't hear you mention whether or not they paid you for your time, but they should have. That's a lot of professional level work. 😬
ОтветитьSo great , thanks so much for this presentation. I know this video is a year old, but hopefully you can see my message. I was wondering if you could share some of your favorite resources that go over this process you just walked us through. That would would ge great , thanks!
Dave
Finally a designer that doesn't know how to draw, like me HAHA . Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьThis was SO helpful! Thank you! Most videos give an overview of how to tackle the process but never give an actual real life example we can follow, which is so much more helpful in understanding the process. If you're able to post more videos like these, that would be awesome. Thank you again!
ОтветитьHey Femke,
Just wanted to tell you that I got my first UX Designer job at a product-based company. I applied all of the methods you told me in this video and It was bang on. They loved everything. This is a heartfelt thank you from a person who changed his career from QA to Designing in his early 30's. I was applying for most of the companies but there were always some flaws. But this time I worked on those & it went smooth like butter. Keep making such contents and keep growing.
Thank you for the guidance
Great process, thanks for sharing
