Most major network apps provide live "legal" stream if you have a cable "tv" provider which is ridiculous especiallyif you cut the cord. Why not offer it free with no subscription if you're just an internet subscriber. I wish the so called "Illegal" IPTV services buffered less, so I was hoping there were more comments on the names of some of these services that stream live without nuisance buffering. If not for Live sports fir hubby I wouldn't care, I get tired of hearing the yelling when he misses something and sees that circle😢.

I have experimented with inexpensive antennas and they do very well, I finally put one on the roof and connected it into my existing cable connections. I can get the major networks on air but unless you get that signal just right or if it is too far away you will get lag, pixels or blackout. I just have to get a device that rotates my antenna for different stations.

It is just ashame that cable has spoiled us. But I am happy that I finally cut the cord, it feels good to watch the old shows again.

Now I just have to get reasonably, affordable internet. Our 2 cable companies have the area on lock down but home internet is coming soon.😊

Is there any way to add a “recording” folder on a USB drive which is connected to my Firestick 4K Max, so I can DVR content using the premium version of tivimate?

I’ve previously formatted the USB stick as expanded storage for additional apps, so does that mean I cannot also use it to store data (eg video content)?

I tried to change the recording folder in tivimate, but I don’t see an option in the app to change it from the internal shared emulator folder and add a new folder for recordings in the connected USB drive.

i have kept an iptv service in the past because of blackout bull crap. I live in KY and am a Boston Fan. regular tv constantly tells me i cant be one, i have to be a fan of someone closer. i live hundreds of miles from Cleveland or Memphis, yet both black me out. I used to have satellite tv and they all rely on computers catching words. for example, there may be a tv show about a 1975 Celtics team. The damn sattelite providers computers immediatly key in on the word celtics and launch "Game Search" then tells me im blacked out. Its NOT A GAME! GRRRRR

Why do illegal IPTV services exist? Because legal services, just like cable, don't have lot to offer for a reasonable price.

Another service I love is Tubi they have some fantastic movies on there nothing like watching a few good horror & thriller movies on Friday & Saturday nights with the lights off.

Hello, question,hope you can help. When I watch a live tv sports/ppv on an app ie Redbox, it freezes after a few minutes. I have to force stop, clear cache and it works for a few minutes and then freezes again. I do use a vpn. What can i do? Am i better to use an iptv app? Thank you as always for all that you do.

Since Sunday Feb 26th, 2023 Lunar IPTV stopped services. Thankfully I paid only for one month. I got only two weeks of service. Never pay more than a month at a time. These are all fly by night people. Contrary to what they say on their website they do autobill secretly. Thankfully PayPal informed me that I have signed up for autobilling, which I didn't, so I went to the PayPal site to stop it. Lunar IPTV chat can hardly be got now even though they say 24/7 help. I got someone after a long while and he said that they have "technical problems". Well it's been 4 days now and they can't fix it as yet. And I highly doubt that I'll get a refund pro rata. That's IPTV for you.

Hi, New subscriber here and thanks for the direct information. It's a nice change. Here's what I'm currently subscribed to or use that totals about $80/ month or so. I was thinking about getting a VPN & Firestick but I am not sure it's going to be worth the effort if I still have to pay for subscriptions. The plan to side load it doesn't seem to be a great choice if Amazon and my ISP can still access my information. I know I can't stop my ISP but I really don't like Amazon being able to remote access my Firestick. I know they can do this because one was sent to me and never delivered. Although they credited my account, the stick was listed as registered. when I mentioned this to Amazon customer service, they disabled it. I understand that they can access my information from their website but I have a huge problem with them accessing technology that I paid for without ever mentioning it to me first. I would like to get the tech necessary to deny them access to the serial number/address of my stick. I would like to find a work around to make Alexa function without being tied to the internet too. I'm thinking a non-wireless router for online access and a wireless network for voice control. this whole situation reminds me of Battlestar Galactica and the Terminator series, lol. I wish I had access to their schematics, data control architecture and software controls and codes. My technology experience is too old to just jump in and figure it out on my own. An O-scope isn't going to be enough. I'm guessing that a digital signal generator would be needed to keep the tech functioning and a filtering device to block their embedded control and retrieval signals. Does a black box or two exist for this yet?
