It really goes to show that Rockstar, Naughty Dog, and Sony themselves are just on a complete other level. It’s almost like most Triple-A games now make up a gigantic middle ground between indie games and God of War and the only 3 (I guess 4 now with Ragnarok) games that look like it

Personally I think games peaked at ps3 era, they still hold up to this day, often smashing new releases. I still prefer the ps5 controller over the ps3 controller tho 🤌🤌👏

Realistically, 2tb should be the gold standard for the series x|s and PS5. I bought an xbox one S in 2018 for like $280 new, and it came with a 1tb hard drive. I know comparing prices of nvme speeds to mechanical spinning disks is dumb, but that doesnt mean the games dont get bigger between generations

Not yet. Maybe in 2026.

Growing up I had a PS1 then a Gamecube then an Xbox 360 then a Wii. Luckily, I could play my Gamecube games on Wii, and all my 360/OG games work fine on every system. I value back-compat, because it's impossible to play every game in a generation when its new. Had Playstation kept back-compat after the original PS2 model, I might have picked up a PS3 to play some classic games, but that was never the case, and to this day, the only Playstation game I've played since PS1 was Spiderman 2018.

I've been consistent with my criticism, and PS has been consistent with their strategy. If they change, I might check out PS, but they clearly won't change, so I'll just play their games on PC. This will bite them in the butt going forward, but it's the choice they made and they've lost a lot of potential customers because of it.

3 years later I've never seen a Playstation 5 in public, or maybe it's cause its hidden somewhere

Ps4 might run it at lower graphics on 30fps. Its really high fidelity.

My answer is that you can not only play Astros playroom which is unironically one of my favorite platformers, and easily the best exclusive of ps5 now (spider man 2 will probably destroy it) you can also play Elden ring which is one of the best open worlds and really fun. Tbh demon souls is pretty mid even though the graphics are good. Anyways, if you can only afford one console i would recommend the ps5, but that's only because Xbox has no games, and switch has no graphics

Well, I feel that’s about to change. In case you didn’t hear TSMC, which is Taiwan’s chip manufacturing company is building a factory here in the west. (US) They’re also building to factories one in Japan, and one in Germany. Since micro chips are starting to become a valuable resource and also. That company makes the most advanced chips in the world. This could lead to a major jump in technology here in the US. That includes entertainment technologies, such as gaming. The reason this didn’t happen sooner is because Taiwan need to protect themselves by having value from their neighbors. And yes, I mean China.
