Except registering a stolen ship costs almost as much as selling it. No wonder you didn't have enough credits when registration is almost 300k for a ship of corresponding value.

value is trash, you get max. 10% while selling but to register it you need nearly the same.
so in the end every ship gives you 2.000 to 4.000 credits.
So stop looking at the value. also the weapons on the ships you show here are not good. the cargo is very low as well.
Sow why not skill up flying and shipbuilding and build you're own? You will see then that you pay easy 1.400.000 credits and the ship ends up with 420.000 value....

unfortunately you will never own that huge ship in the loading screen you commented on, its a huge generational spaceship unlike any other ship in the game and is part of a sidequest :)

I hate Va'ruun ship designs (Actually Stroud-Eklund Designs). And I dont understand, why are you dont use Hand Scanner Zoom for look to landing ships?

This didn’t work for me. I actually got stuck in the solar system. I ended up steeling a class a ship that only had a 15 LY jump capacity and all other systems are a least 16LY away. Kind of shitty. How would a ship like this even make it here. I ended up bouncing from noon to noon hoping to get a class B or class C but the never landed near me. They were either Freestar that couldn’t be stolen or Vanguards which I am friendly with. Eventually after playing for another 2 hours I got a class A ship with a 20 LY jump capacity and could leave. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but none of these big ships ever spawned for me.

you get all excited for ship values, but ur not even thinking about the registration fee... The Hyena for example, you see a value of 277k and get all excited!
Wht you fail to understand is tht... thts the "buy value", the value you would pay for if you bought all the parts urself!
after stealing the ship, you pay 33k for registration and get around 50k for sell value!
Still ur method is pretty efficient... I do this to on another system closer to Mars where I sell all my ships cuz you can sleep on Venus and reset trader $$ tht way... but its a really good method overall!

The ship’s value really doesn’t mean much though because you won’t get anything near that if you decide to sell, especially after registering

Maximum Cargo is limited by maximum number of module you can build... I have a ship with over 74000 cargo.... if u can go without other modules like windows or other stuff reduced just to minimum req. for your ship to run you can go further ..... 0 mobility... no one cares! Try yourself if u wanna just a cargoship not for combat u can run this 74k with 2 engines (3015 dwarfs) and 0 mobility. Ships worth 1,15 million. With 4 perks in cargo you can bump up easily over 100k i think ;)
Another important tip: SAM COE gives your ship a speebuff if you take him as crew member. My ship with 130 speed with engine-perk 20% (1,2*130=155) suddenly makes 202 with coe aboard.... Works with every ship. So a dwarf engine 3015 (180*1,2) should reach 280 m/s with him ;)

Did this for an hour after your first vid. No ships, just did it for another 30mins no ship. Also its super lame how you just went back to the masada system, essentially just remaking your first vid. Lame AF dude

is it a bug that freestar ships cant be stolen?

I have found multiple ships throughout my playing time. Everytime I sell one, it goes for like 1k due to register fee. So, if the ship is worth 300k, it registers for 55k or so and when I sell it, it goes for 56k. Is this supposed to be that way? It just seems like its not worth chasing ships when they sell for almost nothing.

Tip:

Once the ship is yours, everything on board becomes your property. So you don't need to collect everything beforehand and avoid the stolen sign.

For me it is kind og weird. Played many methods on several landing sights for the Vista and Vista II. Never.. Never saw any of them.
I am lvl 35 and I think that's the problem. Only smaller pirate ships. But no fkn Vista 😂

I have been having an issue that when I steal a Pirate ship (whichever faction) I can not use my Jump drive to leave the system. Everything has a red line on the star map. I have verified the ships are empty and I have a piloting of 4.

FYI The 200K value at the vendor goes down to 20-25K top... after registering the ship you make 3-4K total not worthed unless you planning to keep.

There are actually REAL Legendary ship encounters that you can run into in space and are long epic fights. Stealing one of those would be insane if even possible. These are all just really nice finds they aren't real legendary ships. I've only encountered legendary ships while having a high bounty soo idk if that makes a difference or it's just random and I got lucky.

lvl 31 and no cash? I'm currently lvl 26 and have over 600k and I don't know what to do with the money, I didn't use cheats or exploits... I just played, collected and sold scrap...

None of those values mean a thing you can't sell them for anywhere near there so called value.

I'd be curious to know: those 300k value ships, how much does it cost to register them? Cuz if it still costs 95% of the "value" to register the thing, then it's barely worth it. You need to ALREADY HAVE 295k credits to register the thing, and if you already have that much money, why are you still stealing ships for a couple thousand credits each when there are easier ways to make money in this game (like making massive manufacturing outposts)

Regarding the Freestar ship, the other day I encountered one just sitting there, no crew, so I tried to take it, but no luck, however on the way out, some spacers boarded so I killed them, left the ship, saved and exited the game, reloaded the save next day and it let me take the ship now, so I'm not sure if this is a bug with saving or because I killed the space pirates, sadly not been able to find any more abandoned Freestar ships to test it out.

I dont understand, im level 86, getting nothing but shitty A class ships, 95% of which are Gaurdian Ships which spawn too far away for me... anyone else having this problem?

What is a LEGENDARY ship. Or if you can sell it for 100k+ it consider a LEGEDARY ship?

I'm wondering how much you sell them for tho. Usually I wont even get 20% of it's value, and taking into account I also have to pay a LOT to register it, I basically never bother. I just board the ship, loot and scoot.

Remember if your piloting skill isn't high enough you won't get the ship. You need 3 for a B Class and 4 for C Class and above.

I chose wanted as a characteristic and I am only getting eclipse ships that I can't commandeer when I try your method... I have tried several different landing sites, using the same landing side never populates a ship for me, only when I make a new landing area. Thank you for the video!

I had a funny ship capturing yesterday night.
I found a hidden Eclipse base and was about to clean it, there landed a Eclipse reinforcement ship in the base. (it was in some kind of Crater and the landing side was in the middle of it.)
Next thing was: they lost their ship to me before they know I was there. xD
But after I took it over and cleaned the base, I got back to my old ship because it have the bigger Cargo Space amd all the Equipment from the SysDef Questline. :D

Wait till you get higher level, the ships are sweet and expensive enough to sell them only to brand star yards (like Deimos Staryard), the others don't have enough money! The Spacer Hyena III, Va'ruun Prophecy III and the Crimson Fleet Wight III are probably the coolest ships you can find and are a great platform for building yourself the biggest and toughest ship in the game! <3

You have to download the mod that fixes the sprint head tracking, basically when you were sprinting your head is cocked to the left and you run at a slight angle instead of looking straight and running straight. Very odd and annoying bug.

you know that when stealing a ship, if the loot is marked as theft, just got to the chair and take off. then the loot won't be marked as if you are stealing it.

THe ship in the loading screen you mentioned could be the Deimos Bireme

Can anyone tell me what level you have to have for the vista to spawn. I'm level 15 currently and I've wasted 10 hours and no vista has spawned

I almost got a Valruun Eulogy the other day but it took off right as i got to the ship landing sight :(
