Metro Exodus - Saul Secret Side Quest Guide - All Dialogue (Caspian)

Mine bugged, Saul shows up but I can't do anything, when I left he said "leaving already" I left and killed real Baron he was bugged too, just muttering about Saul and ignoring my presence . As I climb back up so saul he says "leaving already" 😆 I've had a lot of these in other open world games, as I definitely play my own way exploring a d finishing off side objectives.

Don't know if it was mentioned -in the chat, but Saul has additional dialogue when you complete other things and POIs in the desert : I managed to get out of him additional dialogue after he mentions Guil and helping her in the lighthouse - like how we destroyed his ship dismantling service and freed his ship dismantling slaves and that they've caught them all by now... I'm now interested if he'll have more options to say for when I complete other POIs on the map.

Dude this just happened to me by accident, I had no idea. They literally were their when I woke up🤦. I thought i was dead for sure.

On that meeting with Saul you should fire lighter to him. He will respond ^_^
And after that you can do it again and he will respond again ^_^

youre seriously running around with an ashot in the caspian? on second thought, that might be a good thing. the reload speed makes it worth it.

Finished caspian last night. So, Saul's side quest is actually not a quest, right? After all, it does not add any gameplay, or choice. just extra dialogue to contribute to story.

I set him on fire by popping the lantern above him to off him. It felt right.

i killed the baron before the shit with saul because i was exploring and saw him there by the sea

What happens if you kill the barons double and the real baron? Does it change the ending of the level at all?

I think you can trigger the event after saving giul and sleeping in that house

first playthrough I found him without even fighting saul. I didn't even go upstairs or take the car. and for him making me wait I launched him over the cliff with the shotgun next to him. it was pretty funny ngl after he wasted all that time

Best part is when you shoot him 17 times at the end.

i just did a warning shot and pulled out the lighter, That triggers a series of dialogue where he admits his plan and admits that he is the Baron

If you use your lighter Saul will comment how awesome it is and that he needs one like that, then goes on to talk about the Holy flame. If you do it again he'll tell you to stop or you might break it

Funny, when I went to find him, he wouldn't talk to me until I struck him with the butt of my rifle. Seems a little broken to me.

I don't think it's bugged or even a mission, just Saul giving some cool details and telling you to make sure Guil kills the Baron, kinda sad that to come across this u have to do something so oddly specific by chance.

Also pretty certain the Baron on the cliffs is the body double with Saul but kinda thinks he isn't, cause he's clearly gone mad having to become the Baron, listen to the way he talks and how he talks to himself and the manaquins, and he clearly isn't blind cause he's seen a lot and can clearly see what's going on.

The other option is that the body double while in power somehow managed to get the real Baron kicked out (cause if he didn't kick him out then he would be in a safe place) and somehow made him stay out (cause if he wanted he could walk back in cause whoever he is he should be being kept safe unless all the bandits prefer the double) and at some point the real Baron went mad for some reason and then became a good actor to pretend he wasn't really the real Baron, which would mean Saul lied to you and maybe wants you to kill the double (who for some reason doesn't like Saul as much as the real one) who has taken over so he can get the original back in power so he can be his right hand man, but that doesn't add up.

I managed to kill that cat fish on the first level. Now looks like i need to play Again to finish this Baron.. Ohh

all i can say is thanks..next to Geralt this is one of my most played..and i must have rushed Saul's talk and did not take time to listen to the Baron musing to himself..i thought this dude was the decoy..kinda confusing..but thanks for walk through..hope there is a new Metro real soon..the DLC's were ok..but felt incomplete..esp Sam's..

I hate that Artyom never speaks... We only hear his voice at the beginning of each chapter, it doesn't make any sense.

so i've read some things that if you don't pretty much go to here immediately he dies or some crap, but i didn't know you had to manually trigger this and fucked off for a damn long time exploring and looting i was going to the oasis mission when i headed back here and saul was there. so if you're worried about missing him I didn't even after i pretty much explored the whole map.

So does it give you the ability to let him go or do you have to knock him out or kill him when you find him in the beginning.

I missed this quest because I rarely use the game's sleep function.... like I do most games like Skyrim and Fallout

I got a totally different dialog. I wasn't sure what to do so I tried to leave and be says "we still talking, deal or no deal?" but I'm confused cus I can't do anything but kill the guy.
He said to me though that if I don't kill the king he will take the power and then I'll have a problem. Lol so confused. I'm just going to kill the guy 😂
