I have over 1 500 hours as a Solo Player, and I disagree about the "sitting scared in a corner" strategy being bad for new players. In Tarkov audio is the most important cue. Learning to master it by learning how to not be heard and sneak up on players will make you a very deadly player down the road. It also gives you the most powerful advantage you can have as a solo - the element of surprise. Once you learn how to be silent and invisible, adding a sprinkle of aggression is easy.
ОтветитьYou got one point so right that it made me relieved im not alone about the audio that it just pushes you to a corner in trying to decipher whatever bullshit you're hearing.
I do get scared, though i found out that i don't get jumpscared as much. When i die i feel like im relieved that my fear has finally come true. I wonder why this happens...
I figured I don't have gear fear. It's more the fact that I know I am not good at gunfights causing me to avoid them since they most likely lead to my death. That causes me to play like an absolute pussy lol
ОтветитьWhen i started playing solo i noticed i survived a lot more and got way more tasks done
ОтветитьWhen I first got into tarkov, I wasn't having fun because of how hard the game was. But I loved the challenge so much it kept me addicted. I even invited my friends to play, telling them how much in depth the game is ( which they all quit playing because of the difficulty). One thing I learned was to accept dying and losing gear and just have fun. The sooner you can accept that, the better tarkov experience you will have. Awesome video.
ОтветитьI have a buddy, tries to convince me spt is better and online isnt worth because of the fear. My man wont get out of hus own way. Litterally every time we play hes on for like 3 or 4 raids then gets pissed and gets off. I end up soloing just because i want to play. Point is self awareness and maturity are a big part of this video; Accountability.
ОтветитьSpot on insight into Tarkov anxiety. "Bent over and taken to brown town"... that made my day. Just LOL. Great video.
ОтветитьI don't have gear fear, I have loading screen fear.
ОтветитьThe only thing I’m scared of are cheaters
ОтветитьI play factory everyday and I'm still trash at pvp e get anxious and scared everytime I play 😂😂😂 I just accepted it and I play scav when I'm solo, that way when my friends do get on, I have gathered up to 3 million ruble to spend on kits to play with them
ОтветитьWhat helps with me is playing spt gives you time to play on your own and figure it out
Ответитьdude this was a great insight on this topic for me dude, thanks for this. its been a long time since i have a real favorite game, but a few months ago i got EFT, and boy oh boy, its by far one of my top 3 all time fav games. I have this habit of scaving a good kit or getting lucky and taking out a player and actually getting to extract, and then for weeks ill just look at the gear in my stash, and sometimes move it over to my omc like im gonna go raid, then move it back to stash and it just sits there. This was a good video tho, fr. I look forward to seeing more in the future, c u in Tarkov
Ответитьwell first I had to learn military time lol spawned in on Customs in the pitch black night! next was map knowledge, gear fear and know I only have myself to depend on lol
ОтветитьSomething to be aware of when you're a solo player is knowing when you have the advantage over somebody else, or another team. If you DO have any advantage then your odds of surviving goes way high.
ОтветитьPlaying Factory is the best tip!
ОтветитьBeing scared is part of what makes it fun.
ОтветитьIf you're watching this and you're curious about buying Tarkov, DON'T.
The cheating problem is getting worse every wipe.
The purpose of the early pistol quest in factory was most likely to desenticise people regarding dying.
ОтветитьI play passive for the most part with decent success but from time to time ill drink a couple beers while playing and i catch that magical buzz that makes me channel my inner chad and i play more aggressive than usual and i f*ck everybody up somehow with more success than normal, plus the alcohol takes that jumpscare factor totally out of the equation and you can keep calm during intense moments. Play like russian , win like russian. Lmfao
Ответитьgreat video but you not checking corners on factory gave me anxiety lol
ОтветитьI always had the mechanical skills but struggled with anxiety. Arena def helped and now my play style on both games is more “fk it we ball”
ОтветитьI think one of the most important threshold to pass is learning the spawns and PVP hot spots.
Dying over and over in the same spots will eventually teach you to not do the same thing over and over again
irma skerd
ОтветитьI got the game was learning downtown with bots for awhile queued into a real raid then got rushed by 6 people up a flight of stairs I don’t think I’m necessarily scared it just seems impossible to do anything
ОтветитьLove playing solo. Squadding up sucks. VOIP sucks. I just want a solitary, miserable, dog-eat-dog experience like God intended. I want to faff about at my own pace.
Ответитьgood advice and I do also think Factory starts help me but i dunno if i agree that dying a bunch at the start of the night desensitizes me.. if anything it puts me in a bad mindset for the rest of the night.
ОтветитьHahah i see you want more noob in your fav map. JK its true that you say but one problem i meet hight level players sometimes cant even do any damage they geared af. But everytime i get killed i wanan try again wanna get that kill
Ответитьidk what sort of teammates you're playing with if you have empty pockets out of the raid
Ответитьthank you man for the vid, that factory grind befor session tip worked for me like charm!!! thanks
Ответить"I don't have gear fear"
*Proceeds to feature the most stereotypical gear-fear loadouts in every clip
Bro I spent my first 3 wipes crouched in a corner somewhere then spent 1000 hrs offline n watch this vid n just never stop now so recommend this vid but also spending time on the maps offline to learn the map n flow of the map also ground zero raids are 45 min and most raids the pmc are gone by 30 min left
ОтветитьAnyone got tips for reducing load in time, my biggest reason for not wanting to play is I haven't been able to play a wipe from the start and so I come back to the game when everyone has better stuff and I feel less inclined to play when I spend about 5 minutes gearing up, then wait 5-6 minutes loading into a game just to die in 1 minute its a technical issue that affects my motivation over everything
ОтветитьI just started Tarkov last month. Bought it to play with a friend and that friend doesn't even play with me anymore and now I'm struggling to learn the game by myself and I am learning a lot of the things you are talking about in this video first hand. Excellently well put. Liked and subbed!
ОтветитьI'm used to the anxiety, the paranoia. I always play solo if I can in these types of games simply because its like a drug.
ОтветитьI mean, i cant get over getting totally stomped by scavs xD
ОтветитьTarkov is extremly new player unfriendly, I got the game in 2018 but only just started playing 2024 (50-ish hours) And asides all the difficulties within armor and weapons and maps etc. The biggest turn off is that everyone I walk into is level 30+ with 1000-4000 hours played. Never felt I lost a fight based on skill but time invested. But it makes one feel even more hold back to even shoot anyone cause they just gonna be super exp anyway. Very frustrating.
Ответитьliterally me as well idgaf about my gear or dying i just hate getting jumpscared 😅😅
ОтветитьOmg you opened my eyes! Of course it’s not gear fear but getting shot and the worst thing is when you just don’t know from where. Getting shot or killed isn’t that big of a deal but the fear of getting shot and NOT knowing from where is what makes people anxious
ОтветитьThere should be solo only queue lobbies. The amount of times i kill a PMC and then get picked off by his buddy is ridiculous.
ОтветитьAccidentally spent to much while building a gun, and now i just can't wait to die with it so I can raid stress free again
ОтветитьVery applicable. Thanks
Ответитьi can understand the gear fear(or whatever people wanna call it), when your new to the game, and you finally buy some gear that made you kinda broke, the fear of losing it is pretty strong lol.
or a moment when you've been looking for an item for a long time, and finally find it, your balls go into your throat and your legs stop working.
makes my little chocolate starfish twitch uncontrollably...
I stopped being afraid and now I have lost all my stuff! Thanks @average Ol!
ОтветитьNgl I’m not taking advice from this guy watched him miss a scav 10x while it was standing still
Ответитьbro you seem to be the only guy making videos about being afraid of jumpscares and sudden deaths rather than gear, i couldnt care LESS about some piece of equipment that i can earn back in 2x the amount by doing a scav run on streets, its always the jumpscares
ОтветитьYknow i wouldnt have gear fear so hard if i didnt watch my gun get stripped from my hands mid firefight 4 times
ОтветитьHave around 200 hours now, all of them solo, and I feel like I progressed more playing solo than I would have in a team.
Ответитьhe called me a puss bad vid unsubbing
ОтветитьYES! I've been looking for a video like this, because I just sit there scared because I heard loud bang...
Ответить
