I would never buy a Kingston again. I put 12 of them in computers at my work, and 10 of them failed within a year and a half.

your limitation is your drives are in a card if the drives where direct on the mother board then you would see far better results also keep in mind all the read and write speeds are all UPTO ratings only if you expect to get what the box says your dreaming it never happens its UPTO because well it can get upto but only in the most top ideal conditions and even at that it will only be the very odd one that can auctually do it..

I have a 980 Pro and a KC3000 in my PC, and I wish I had gone with 2x KC3000's instead. I've noticed the Kingston always runs a lot cooler than the Samsung drive.

Hi, once the cache is used does it ever recover or stays slow? I was thinking 2tb model for audio VST samples (more than 1tb) which should load pretty fast but for additional things and samples it would stay slow? Also I am not sure when I read the drives in general should not be filled too much... what is the purpose then of having 2tb if you cant use most of it (i mean 1,5tb or more, not 1.8tb). Would the IOPS also stay slow after the cache is used? Thanks

it may be a dumb question but why it gets only ~2gb/s while rated speed is ~6gb/s?

Yeah, I'm more about the endurance and durability of a drive. The extra speed is nice, but it's lower on my list of priorities when it comes to storage. Great review. Thanks.

You were only getting 1.9GB/s, so how is that fast when it is rated at 7GB/S ?

It could be a Samsung killer but here's a catch. Lately, not so long ago, I bought kc3000 2tb. But as it turned out my laptop had one pcle 3.0 and one pcle 4.0. So, 4.0 slot was really small and kinda loaded (underneath it was a bus connection or smth), that was the slot where stock samsung from factory was taking place. 3.0 slot was free but slower, but really had a lot of air. So it turned out that only ss SSD (single-sided) could fit in 4.0 slot. And kc3000 was double-sided and thicc. (single sided approx 2.31-2.51mm in height, but double sided is 3.5 mm approx so it is kinda makes difference). So guys, please check specs of your laptops/PCs before making a purchase, because once you opened SSDs it is non-refundable. So now my kc3000 is working at pcle 3.0 slot with pcle 3.0 speeds. It is a shame but it is what it is. Still worth the purchase tho, price was nice. My laptop is Legion 7 gen 6 btw

Funny I got 7200mb/s reads and 7000mb/s writes must just be silicon lottery and also that PCIe M.2 adapter does not look like it's going to give the poor drive adequate cooling for sure speed of M.2 correlates with drive temps.
