Freedom Shields Windscreen Installation on 2021 Harley Davidson Sport Glide

I ran into the same problem with only finding bronze colored shields for my Sport Glide.... and one day I just looked on Amazon and there was a light tint in the height I needed. I love the shape of your new shield. Very nice.

Looks great. Is there any wind buffering from the lower sides? Many Sport Glide owners who switch out the windscreen have problems.

Great video! Just wondering if it causes any noise or extra vibration. The clips that attaches the fairing to the bike, Can they hold the fairing well and tight under more wind pressure?

Very nice modification. I just ordered a 12” windshield from Gustafsson plastics. For my ‘21 Sport Glide. New subscriber from Arizona. Just purchased my ‘21 Sport Glide Monday. I also have some Kuyakan floorboards coming.

I have a Motea windshield. But this higher thing is wobbling due to the low mount at the fork. Especially when you drive behind a car. Now i placed my Tomtom Rider underneath to support the screen……and it gives a lot of noise and wind in my neck!! I placed a Tourarech spoiler on top of it…..not nice,…but for now the best to get oit of the pressure (i am an old 60yrs 6,3ft old fart with wore out neck🥸)

Is that wind shield helpful against wind pressure on the body. I installed the original HD 5,5" one, but it is unnecassary. But probably we can not compare. I am 186 cm tall and in our country we dont have a speed limit. So I am riding rather fast.

I recommend wearing a premium ear plugs if the wind is noisy it’s harmful to your ears

Looks good but I think if you get the smoke or black your bike will be looking more better on the paint . That’s what I think I respect your preferences.

New sub here! Nice video, I have a 2020 SG in Performance Orange absolutely love it. I have a Klock shield but I get terrible buffeting over 55 mph. Looking to replace it even though it looks great. Trying to get form and function while keeping the stock matching colored fairing 😎

Nice windshield, but never put loctite on screws which you screw into plastic, it reacts with plastic and makes it brittle. And it’s even worse if it comes in contact with acrylics.

G’day from Queensland Australia. On Friday 5th Jan 2024 ( yes 2 days ago ) I bought the identical 2021 Sport Glide. I’m looking for the same crash guard as you have, but Harley (Aust ) want to charge me just over $1,000 for one. So that will have to go on the back burner. Mini Batwing. I think Harley are having a bit of a laugh over that pissy screen. I have seen the Freedom Screens and 10” replacement is too small ( I’m 6’1” ). However I’ve removed the batwing and I mounted my Harley Sportster screen ( I used it on my Vic Boardwalk ). Because the forks are inverted you need to find 49mm brackets to mount the screen. I decided that I didn’t want any bracket rubbing off the powder coating. So I had to find another way to mount it. After a coffee and a couple of smokes, I had a Macgyver moment. I went to my drawer where I keep my zip ties. I found the widest ones you can get and luckily there were enough to do the job. Long story short. I used 3 zips on each side. The screen automatically centred itself. I made sure I twisted the lugs around so you could hardly see them. Once I was happy with the finished job I took the bike out to test the screen. Came through with flying colours ( 180+kph ).

Do you worry about someone who knows how easily the fairing comes off, stealing it? Especially with the aftermarket and probably expensive tall windshield attached?
