I'd say if you ONLY had to have one, do the RX100 with a solid underwater case. Also, personally I feel like the drone is a subjective choice, if you are making $$ from the videos, yes, but if you are only traveling for leisure I'd leave it. Yes, definitely agreed with the Canon Ti series recommendation.

I shoot in BRAW when using my BMPCC 4K and I can fill up 128 SD card with very little footage. I use a Samsung T5 1 TB SSD with it instead.

This GNARBOX 2.0 SSD is £446 for 256 GB? Is this a joke? You could just get a few SD cards and a waterproof case cheaper.

I have 512 GB micro SD card in my phone and it was maybe £200 (I don't remember exactly).

My husband and I always go on adventures, never been out of the US, we film everything. We have talked about starting a channel and building from there, hopefully getting to a point where we can travel VLOG full time🙂 Any advice would be much appreciated!

thanks for the video - - Took three trips in the last few years. Went to Scotland, Italy, and Holland. To Scotland took fuji x100f and Fuji xt20 with 35mm and 50mm Lens result: 76% percent of my shots were with with x100f (35mm lens equiv) 18% with fuji 35mm lens, 6% with 50mm Fuji 50mm lens, Italy I took only the Fuji x100f, and Amsterdam Fuji x100f 87% of shots and Leica me240 50mm lens 13% if shots.
After these three recent experiences: I have the most fun when traveling very light with only the x100f, it was really a great feeling, didn't miss at all the extra weight and so few shots missed if any, Also, I travel with my wife and noticed when I have more gear it slows us down and have to leavie her waiting sometimes for me. However, weight was a big big factor. To have a camera you can put in your pocket for all your travel needs nothing is better IMO. Keep up the good work - ​​@t​ - Lou

Just to point out, none of the "DSLR" Cameras you mentioned are DSLRs, they're mirrorless Cameras with a DSLR-like body

Instead of taking the Gnarbox and a HDD, just go for the MY PASSPORT WIRELESS PRO, it does the same thing. It might nog be as rugged, but neither is de HDD you still brings along. So My tip, take enough memory cards, swapped those out and back them up on the My Passport. *Yes, this is been out for years by now, so this was availeble in 2017.

I know this is old but the LaCie 4TB is not a SSD.

Hi guys! What editing software would you recommend (windows 10 PC) for a guy like me who's tech savvy but a complete novice with video editing? Appreciate it!

Now that the gopro hero 7 comes with the insanely great hypersmooth stabilzation, you don’t have to bring a gimbal anymore which saves even more space. I love the sony rx100 series, but i hope the next one(the rx100vii) finally gets an external mic jack! Then it’d be the perfect travel vlogging cam. Another thing i have added to my travel kit is the insta360 one x. Although not essential, it adds incredible 360 shooting to your kit and doesnt take up much room in your bag at all. Editing on an ipad pro with luma fusion takes up less space than a laptop when on the road too. 👍🏼
