How to set up the Roku Streaming Stick (Model 3800)

My remote just stopped working. I put three different sets of new batteries thinking its that. Still doesn't work. No lights for pairing come on at all. I can't even use the Roku apps at all without a remote. So I ordered a new remote and they only work with a Roku TV. They don't work with the Roku stick. Am I able to get a new warranty from the company directly? Thanks

BullS. The stick will NOT fit - due to its length - the RECESS in most TVs connectors' area. You NEED a pigtail dongle at the cost of $6 to $12. So beware...

My remote has started rapidly draining batteries. I have to keep one battery ajar and snap it in only long enough to send commands. I checked the remote with a meter and it draws a constant current from the battery. ROKU . please send me a new remote.

Does the roku stick have to be plugged into the wall outlet permanently or can it be charged? Found a 3800x without directions.

I get to the point where The screen requests my email. How do I input my email when the remote has no alphanumeric keys, nor will any other remote I have work on the Roku screen?

I have the older model. Just powered it up after a long while. It all updated to latest version. Plus I like it as it does not require direct line of sight for remote control, it can be hidden behind the TV plugged direct into HDMI & USB Power socket on TV

I've heard a lot of positive feedback from people about ROKU devices. I'm already sold on ROKU and hope to buy a ROKU Streaming Stick (3800) sometime after X-mas. What I like to know is there a chance of price reduction during the X-mas & New Year holidays?

Do not buy this. If it works, fine. If not their customer service will not help you. They are rude, unresponsive and will not arrange for a return.
