TBH, i just used skype again after a LONG time to help my dad, he doesn't use discord.
And honestly, it looked EXTREMELY diffrent when i used it, and i hate the new design. not that it's ugly.
But discord hasn't changed it's interface so drasticly, and everything is still there where it should be.

Edit: I also found out that if you want to use skype via a webbrowser, you can't use firefox, but you can use edge or chrome. That's already a dealbreaker!
Discord on the other hand supports firefox no problem, so Skype has no excuse!

I lost my skype contacts due to the fuckheads at microsoft removing the facebook login which was my main skype account, and i don't remember my contact names.

Discord is still better because there is channels but I prefer discord it’s easier to get friends when people viewers on YT

With discord, you pay for 50 mb file limit. With skype, you get unlimited for free. Skype is better xD

I'm trying to compare communication apps. So far, the only advantage for skype is "I use Skype for talking with friends who don't like Discord."... Well... Since the same can be said the other way around, I can't really find any impactful downsides to Discord. ... Unless you REALLY value your privacy, at which point - use Skype Teamspeak.
