Aquascape Tutorial: How To Make A Natural Planted Dirted Tank | Low Tech Tank | Ecosystem Aquarium

any tip if I have an empty tank set up and can only plant lightly (due to income and availability)? It is a 40G dirted tank with sand cap. I haven’t even added the water yet😊 I’ll have a 20G sponge filter running as it cycles. I dont have lighting yet. I do get a decent amount of indirect sunlight. I don’t have a lid for the aquarium yet. I thought I’d make something but I wanna be able to have room for plants in the top. I don’t know.. I have never ever done this before and I have never kept fish before lol. I’d like to get a light and do the siesta method where it’s like five hours on a few hours off and five hours on again.

Ok. So my tap water has chlorine and heavy metals. Fish die in that water. What to add in water that is cheap in such size tank.

Very beautiful aquarium. What is the purpose of adding the assasin snails? Won't they kill the nerite, which also need special conditions to reproduce? (so they should not become a issue)

I live in a colder environment, how do I keep the tank warmer without a heater? Also everyone I’ve heard has told me I need a filter. Do the plants & air pump really take care of that?

What a beautiful tank ams awesome video. I started out a natural tank like this & didn’t have a heater. Things were going well but all the content I watched stated to add a heater. Once I added a heater some fish died. I am thinking I should remove the heater. Any advice would be appreciated.
