I do have ideas of how to do it aswell.

Clone Fulgrim is with Trayzn at present so have a Hive Fleet attack the museum with Trayzn releasing all Space Marines he has with the clone to lead them destroying the fleet and now you have Clone Fulgrim with a massive army of all 18 legions represented. Stories there would be fascinating.

Omegon and his dwindling Loyal Alpha Legion is searching for a lost Alpha Legion ship which just happens to have Dorn's body in stasis on it and was last seen fleeing from an Iron Warriors attack millennia ago in the warp. With his options completely spent he knows he has to reveal himself and seeks both Lions and Guillimans help. The search for Dorn will make for a some decent books.

Corax returns to the galaxy disgusted that a Clone of Fulgrim and Omegon have both returned and been accepted back into the Imperium. Leading a 1 man/bird demon crusade he tries to destroy them while he gets pursued by his own legion who believe he has turned to chaos and want to destroy him to prove there loyalty to The Emperor. The stories can be told from several perspectives

Dorn in stasis and a very damaged and corpse Alpha Legion ship are eventually found floating on the outskirts of the galaxy by The Space Sharks who discover the body of Dorn and try to return him to Imperial space but find they are under attack from Iron Warriors and a particularly nasty Demon. Space sharks series would be a great read leading to Dorns revival.

Jaghati suddenly finds himself in the webway with the harlequins and has a task set to him by Cegorach. Protect the great library from chaos and then to lead an assault on Slaanesh to try and recover the missing crobe sword. Despite his misgivings he does it to save the Imperium. The stories here leading to a fully revived Eldar Death God would make for exciting stuff.

Vulkan is found by his sons after they find every relic. He is found on the edge of the galaxy helping an unknown human civilisation fight off a waaagh of super sized orcs which isn't going very well but Vulkan has no memory of his sons or the Imperium. A new untouched by the Imperium human faction now would make for an interesting dynamic.

A wulfen Russ is lost in the warp fighting for his life but stumbles across Isha who decides to helps him locate the tree of life to save his father but it also happens to be located in Nurgles realm. He manages to get what he needs but Nurgle sends every greater demon under his command including Mortarian to stop him from reaching Terra triggering the end times for 40k.

Ferrus is revived by the Emperor as literally the first thing he does. Ferrus heads out to save his sons and there successors and reform them into one legion so they can fight the final battle while doing all he can to not pursue Snake Fulgrim in revenge.

Sanguinius is returned when The Emperor and Tzeentch come to an agreement that the game must continue and nobody can win or all will fall to the great hive mind. All his missing shards are re-united to bring him back but he's not the same as before. The Black Rage has completely overcome him so he is unleashed on his enemies during the final battle but he only sees enemies leading to some insane battles with both foe and friend.

Corvus following Lorgar would be the easiest. But given how plague wars ended with chaos getting their hands on the imperium secundus book, the imperium will be on the brink of civil war as chaos floods out of the eye again creating the “wolf time”. I mean we also got the 13th company appearing and parts being saved from the warp

I'd predict Rogal Dorn over Russ, because Russ is the type that can come at any moment and it would be interesting, Dorn is the guy that builds defence and needs time. So far we got logistics guy and Lion to motivate everyone. And if Russ comes as last he could motivate all the primarchs when it gets hard, they also seem to like him.

In the books, Fabius has been making Ferus clones for his boy Fulgrim cuz Fulgrim feels bad about having killed him. But, every time a Ferus clone is made, it rejects Fulgrim's decision to rebel and Fulgrim has to kill it again.

Being a Raven guard fan I know there’s this weird and kind of wholesome bit of lore between Corax and Russ, I really hope GW expands on some of the more human sides of the primarchs and maybe showcases Russ and Corax reentering real-space as they both chase down maybe Lorgar and/or another traitor primarch. Kind of like a double primarch event for both traitors and loyalists.

I think everyone is forgetting about the greatest Primarch, Sugma. He would have insane lore implications if he returned.

I really hope Crow boy comes back. I really dont think he is a bird demon but is using his old shadowstep ability to change his appearance. He is still using his claws and jetpack but appearing to be a bird demon flying with talons.

I dont really agree with you. I dont think Ferrus, Sanguinius or Dorne will return, they will stay dead. Consider the setting and it seems clear that the loyalist/traitor primarchs constantly balance eachother out. So, with three/six traitors dead, that probably means we will see six primarchs on each side in the end.

Also, I am getting a feeling Leeman Russ will be the last loyalist to return. The next would imo be Vulkan followed by Corax. The reason for this is the connotations to Russ return amongst the space wolves and the connections in their lore to old norse mythology. Leeman returning would be akin to signaling the start of the apocalypse, which is why I think we will see him return last and it setting off a Horus heresy scale full on conflict between the primarchs. Maybe even with the emperor returning in some capacity.

If Sanguinius does return, then it should be like Orion from Warhammer Fantasy. A Blood Angel gets possessed by Sanguinius' soul and is transformed into a sort of avatar. The process would be painful and bloody, but also beautiful. Becoming the Avatar of Sanguinius should be a great honor for a Blood Angel, but cost them their life. I think that dead characters should stay dead however, but I know that a Sanguinius model would sell very well, and that's what GW cares about most, so there should be some caveat to his return
