I goofed pretty hard with these today bc my shutter release cord locks on press and has a separate thing for unlock. more practice needed! thanks for this.

Just wondered if you had any advice. I went out to use my cable release for the first time on my AE-1 Progam. I pressed the cable down and it didn’t do anything. No shutter noise, no picture. When I took the cable out and pressed as normal, it worked. Not sure what to do

Still not clear on how to focus my shot with this thing. I just end up snapping the picture
