Valheim LOCAL Server | How to setup Dedicated Server @Vedui42

what if i wanted to just start a new seed after configuring everything already? ive got my admins setup and everything but we are tired of this seed.. i can;t find anywhere online that shows where to insert a new seed file/name on dedicated servers.

when i went into the server after copying the files the world was just off. like the trees are in the sky, any idea what is happening or what went wrong?

How do I update my server with out losing the world?

so i did this for a valhiem world that ive been playing on with my gf, and when i joined it to see it works all my stuff was there but all the discovered areas were undiscovered, is that going to happen to her too or just to me cause im hosting and trying to play it?

After trying for a long time I finally managed to make a hosted server but when I log into it, its empty. I have all my current inventory but the world buildings and such are gone, so is my map :(

For those of you who just can't fking connect to the server after the mislands update... delete "-crossplay" in your dedicated server.dat file.

Hello, if i make a deticated server and i don't play at the moment but only my friends does at the moment and when they are done playing how does the game saved then? because i ain't at my pc at the moment. i allways thought that a deticated server game saved by itself please i hope for a respond?

My server shows up in my "start Game" tab, but I can't find it in the "Join Game" tab. The prompt said the server is up and running I did select "community" and not friends.

Hi, I set up a dedicated server using your tutorial a while back and now I'm having an issue where my building progress isn't saved. Every time I shut down the dedicated server using the ctrl+c command and restart, all my buildings and stuff are gone and I can't figure out why this is happening. I use the console as well to force save and it still doesn't work. I appreciate any help you can give me.

Damn I can't find how to play in Lan... My brother is at my home for couple months and we play on my server on internet. But the performance are awful and I have a shitty internet connexion. How to play in Lan, without internet?

Quick question if you have an old machine you could leave on for a server. Running the server on that machine, could you login with your steam account on the server machine or do you need a server steam account. IE buy the game again for the server ? You cant have steam running on two machines at the same time can you ? Or us there another way ?
