ОтветитьI have a electronic door lock. Everytime I leave the apartment, I silently mention the password in my head. It’s not stressful even if I forget the pswd bc I still have a key fob. But I know it by heart.
ОтветитьMost of these will not improve your memory. The coin and the spices involve recall so they work. Do anything with word number and story recall.

ОтветитьHere's a neurobic exercise that I use. Start counting at 100, then count down like this: 100 -1, 99-2, 98-3, 97-4, 96-5 and so on until you get to 51-50. Then you start reversing the process like this 50-51, 49-52, 48-53, 47-54 and so on until you gradually get to 1-100. It is not as easy as it seems, but it is an excellent neurobic exercise.

ОтветитьIn other words, do not use GPS, do not use calculators for simple math, challenge yourself with new things, and trigger your brain in various fashions. Don't put it on autopilot.
I'd say relaxing your brain is also important so don't overdo anything.
I am using Brahmi of planet Ayurveda for my brain health. it is very useful for our brain.

I used to have a super memory .. like a really fascinating one! And had some OCD that didnt interrupt my day to day life. Years later like when I was 15 years old .. OCD took over and now 9 years later .. my memory is very very bad. I always forget everything that happened the morning or previous day... Yes I remember the event but can't decide on the details or forget alot of details.

ОтветитьI was already thinking of writing with my non dominant hand last week.. when I tried to come up with ways to help my brain as I’m learning 3 new skills since a month.. And am not happy with my attention span and how much time it takes before something sticks..
So I thought to write with my left and right simultaneously: mirroring: so start the sentence on the left with the ending of the last letter and start the right with the beginning of the first.. I tried it a few minutes ago and am looking forward to become better at it 😅
I also walked to my kitchen with my eyes closed and started sniffing the herbs in my drawer.. But I guess some need to be replaced because I just smelled dust a few times 🤷♀️. Then I stopped and went back towards the livingroom and all of the sudden noticed I was hitting the light-switch and opening the door with my left 🤗 “hey!?”
My memory is really not what I feel it should be or could be. I regularly grab one coffee filter to grab the next 3 seconds later and find out I had already grabbed one 😅 No, seriously, I’m 43 y/o and am kinda worried it’s starting this early.

ОтветитьThe idea of improving your memory by using your sense of smell has come a long way. I like your exercise of using spices. I teach a game to parents of small children where the kids have to identify foods and smells with their eyes closed.

ОтветитьNeurobic exercices. use all senses in new ways, to stimulate brain growth.
Stimulating the same part of your brain will hinder your brains growth, Instead do new things.
Work in ways that your brain is not used to; a good example is to use your non-dominate hand.
Think in a different way, for example; thinking through a different polotical lense, or read a different type of literature.
There is something else I like to feel when I put my hands in my pockets.
