I've asked this same question many times on tutorials but never got an answer. After duplicating the logo precomp you then change some parameters that were set in the first logo precomp prior to it being duplicated. Why the need to duplicate? Can't you just set the parameter you want in the first one. I see people duplicating "glow" a lot too and then changing a setting that they just set. I don't understand why duplicating these layers is needed. Please help. Thanks.
