,JFK Airport Driving to Manhattan, New York City, USA, Street View

Hi, I am going to rent a car at JFK Airport heading to Manhattan and then to Newark Airport in the same day. Could you tell me if currently (09-2023) I can pay the Tolls in cash or credit card ? (to avoid what the rental company is going to offer me) , other question : If I chose to go by a rout avoiding tolls (given by GPS) , are those routs safe ? Thank you in advance !!

Excellent videos. I used to live on E 20th in Peter Cooper. Brings back so many memories of coming home on the exact route, until turning south after the Midtown Tunnel. Now I go from JFK to Brooklyn Heights to visit my family. Thanks.

I'm thinking of going to New York for my birthday and was weighing the pros and cons of taking a cab vs the subway into the city and I think the view you get is benefit of taking a cab.

The only time I’ve been to NYC was October 2019, just before covid.
Driving toward Manhattan from JFK and seeing the skyline lit up as the sun was going down in an orange sky is something that will always live with me.

Driving in Manhattan (and in other densely developed places like the Chicago loop) is the most relaxing thing in the world.... once you learn how to do it and get used to it. There's an order to it.

The last time I took this road, I was 8 or 9 years old (I'm 41 now), but it's still so familiar as if was just yesterday!!!!

Love this, thanks for posting. I remember my first trip to the States from the UK. I had to drive to Endicott NY and a guy I met on the plane said 'take the second lane on the right on the Van Wyck and it'll take you all the way. So that's what I did - Van Wyck to the 495, Midtown Tunnel, 34st, Lincoln Tunnel, Highway 3, Rt 17 - all the way to Bigampton and then Endicott!!! Fantasic. This video brought back some great memories of my time there and of Manhattan. Thanks again.
