ОтветитьHere’s a tip when mixing dense ingredients like that. Put the pumpkin in first and then the cake mix on top. That way the cake mix won’t stick to the bottom of your measuring cup. Always lead with the wetter ingredient and then the dry.

Chopped pecans or almonds and cold butter as a crumble topping before baking. Just chop the butter into the topping mixture using a pastry cutter. Sooo good and easy with a bit of nutrition added (the oats and nuts)
I made mine into cupcakes and typed it with pecans

ОтветитьI also do this .,but I use the carrot cake mix and I throw in golden raisins and walnuts .,and it’s my coffee cake for a week..if my kids go get into it 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

ОтветитьI have made a similar recipe but with 3 eggs added which makes it really light instead of dense. I also added vanilla and extra pumpkin pie spice. It seems without eggs it would be really dense like pumpkin bread. I love pumpkin bread though, so will try it this way. Thanks!

ОтветитьI imagine if you couldn't find spice cake mix, you could use yellow cake and add a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice, or a combination of a teaspoon of cinnamon, half a teaspoon of nutmeg and ground ginger and a quarter teaspoon of ground cloves.

ОтветитьI would rather make a pumpkin cake from scratch. Just bought a box of the same spice cake mix and read the ingredients and decided to throw it in the trash. The multitude of chemical ingredients in that cake mix makes this recipe a lot more than two ingredients. Back in the old days a box of cake mix just had things in it that were the same as you would have used from your kitchen, it was just easier and faster. Not anymore, now it's just a chemical cocktail of poison.
