The thing I like about this tunnel area if you're dumb and try to kill all these enemies you'll have no ammo in the hospital😅

I did this cooler I have to prove it I had to use a smoke grenade with no flamethrower to keep Ellie from being scared while not knowing legs snapped off, three for six shooters, hope for bonus m16 / ar rounds, one or two short barrel rounds. I learned vortices that week

When Joel is trying to resuscitate Ellie and the Fireflies come pointing guns and interrupt his efforts to save her is so reminiscent of when Joel is carrying Sarah, and they get stopped by that soldier.

Game version Joel is like a post-apocalyptic version of John Rambo, not just in his fighting skills but also his ability to think and act strategically, and his ability to craft things seemingly on the fly. So with that said, I do appreciate what the show did in tuning Joel down, as not only does it take into account his advancing age and lack of vitality as a result, but also shows very realistically that it doesn't take much to get seriously injured - like when instead of getting into a dramatic fist-fight, falling off a ledge and getting impaled on a piece of rebar in the game - in the show he has only a brief struggle, gets stabbed in the gut, which is a serious place to get hurt, and then ends up with an infection on top of it.

I do appreciate the show's "realism" in that respect, that Joel doesn't come off as a guy who's had say special forces training, and who can just seemingly eat punches and whatnot all day long and come back just as brutal, like you would expect from a Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson flick, but rather is just basically an average guy who has gained experience, but is also getting old, definitely feels the blows when they come and doesnt just bounce back like it's nothing, and who is feeling the toll of the journey in itself.

Honestly I wish more action movies and shows paid greater attention to that, that no matter how strong or well-trained the character is, there are still dangerous and disastrous consequences to violence, not just the human cost, but also the cost on the human body, that the human body can only take so much punishment before it gives out.

Random rant, but I feel like the TV show should've had way more of this type of action. It just felt like the cutscenes from the game. Joel and ellie just show up at new locations...but TLOU is just as much about the journey there

Still don’t get why Marlene just told Joel flat out that they were gonna kill her for a vaccine when she knows he’d go ballistic. If anything she should’ve killed him, sedated him, or let him say goodbye to Ellie thinking they were just gonna run tests and leave her and head back to Tommy’s town.

Why do they specifically need a human immune to the fungus to make a vaccine
Vaccines are made by using a viruses dna and making a weaker version of it so your immune system knows how to kill it
Couldn’t they just use a dead runner or something and make a vaccine from that?

I remember when I played this for the first time on grounded, I wanted to kill them all but I didn’t have enough bullets to do it

I realy hope in the next TLou 3 they will implemente more Zombie Fights and mabey a small or even a big Horde depending on your Weapon Arsenal at that Point would be Fun to fight a Horde where you need to put Explosives around the Map or when you got 3-4 Molys or a Ak-47 to realy spray a full Mag into them and obliterate them its so much Fun to Shot into those Ugly Mofos espacially with the Shotgun ...

Friendly reminder: In the The Last of Us II, the hospital is showed bloodied and shot up when Joel talks about it to Tommy. Stealth is not how Joel did the Hospital section. He killed all of them, man to man. Goddamn.

No matter how many times I've tried doing mission in an aggressive style like this, which actually seems more befitting to Joel's character, I've never been able to do it.

If Marlene came with a "I've tried everything else and all other options how about we wake her up and ask"... instead of "she's gonna get raped and murdered".. she might be alive

You can't cure a fungal infection with the vaccine. That's not how it works she would have died and nothing wouldn't have even happened.

I don't know why, but this is interesting to watch. I mean, I know this game inside down, but still.. Awesome gameplay.

Of course, I saw the hbo show, and while watching an IH video, I saw 'the hospital scene,' and of naturally I wanted to see the gameplay from a proper perspective... I mean, I love IH, but damn...

Anyway, the first video I found was obviously posted by somebody who can't play properly...

But you started the video 5 minutes of gameplay before theirs, and yet yours is 12 minutes shorter... and you manage to do this scene proper justice.
