Best tactic... Statistics for tactic. analyzes for tactic.... Zealand U already do know there is no best tactic... Some work better for one kind of players others work great for other types of players... Some work better for top team some work better for mid table team, and some works bet for bottom of the table teams...

It’s fun to watch the relatively slow tempo of this video compared to Zealand’s current videos.

I've been running a Custom tiki-taka positive 4231 with Arsenal. Depending on matchup, I'll change it to Attacking/Balanced. Started season great, then started a terrible slump and was threatened to be fired. I managed to buy myself a month to prove myself. Now back up to 6th and just beat City in the Carabao. Beat Liverpool twice in the league. Brought in Everton (Gremio) and Upamecano in January, awesome signings. Also sold Mustafi to fund Everton transfer. My younger players have also been balling, Martinelli, Nelson, Willock have crazy stats per appearance. I've only been playing FM for a week, I'm still learning a lot everyday as this game is crazy deep. I can't believe I didn't get into it sooner. Trying desperately to crack top four, it's insane in the EPL though. Still 10 games to go. My biggest weakness is going against defensive teams, I haven't setup a two striker system, I probably should do that asap, just not sure if there's enough time for familiarity.

Problem is, changing those player roles totally changes the tactics, right? I'm sure I'm not alone in not having the exact right players to fit the roles required - so would need an entire new squad. Or am I missing something?

This is a great idea that was unfortunately compromised by the spamming of tactics from a handful of creators using similar instructions and formations.

For me the point of the game is creating my own tactics. Downloading tactics that utilise the flaws in the match engine for me is not enjoyable. But each to their own. Good content

i think it would also be nice to add average posession per game to see witch are more for counter attack and which for dominance. but its a great thing nonetheless :D

Great vid and cool idea. But I have to say, who the hell uses commas as seperators in a formation name? It’s ‘4-3-3’ not ‘4,3,3’. Anyways, keep up the great work, can’t wait to check out some tactics and upload my own.

Seems like all successful tactical setups in FM have to have High D-Line, High LoE, Counter, Counter press, Offside Trap, Tight Marking, Pass into Space and Work Ball Into Box. Makes the game really boring for me and shows the match engine to be flawed IMO.

As a Moneyball type manager, this will be HUGE. Saving money by going strikerless means a few seasons of trying to find the right avenues of attack. Using strikers who do not fit, but can not be sold without replacements. Thank you!

4-4-1-1 Spirit of 99 is crazy. Its actually ruined football manager for me because it makes doing anything else with tactics pointless!

Sorry but IMO there's no way to "test" a tactic. There's far too many variables that go into it to say that it's your tatcic that yo're testing. There's no way this would pass as a scientific test in science because of the variables. And as for tactics, there's also no "best" tactic, again it totally depends on your players, shoehorning players into roles that don't suit them isn't gonna work, you have to work with the players you've got and build a tactic around them.

My 532 gegenpress was causing me issue's, I was so inconsistent I was beginning to think about binning it off, and now I have. My old trusted 4132 DM narrow is working a charm at the moment.. I use minimal commands thought. Still using GP, but have dropped both lines of engagement to standard; p7, w5 D2. GS20 GC5. Including man utd and Arsenal games. Playing with WHU

When they test games how do they test the players actually playing the game ie if your tactic is amazing but requires very specific players to play a role how would that work?

Hey I need your help! I love to play the 4-1-2-3 tactic, so I went on to find the Best tactic for this formation. But my players do not really suit the players instructions of the tactic. Do you think changing them is gonna ruin the tactic or is it ok? And should you always trust the system or do you need to change it up from time to time? Any advice regarding tactics would be much appreciated (I manage Leeds)
