not that i want to have only single friends, but couples are too busy with kids and their partners, and are not so interested to invest in friendships with single friends. they are less likely to have hobbies too. i have tried really hard to compromise for my couple friends.
Ответить"Your friends and her friends."
ОтветитьI haven’t finished the whole thing but I think luck has something to do with one’s happiness as well. For some people happy life is much easier try than others. For example, if your parents are loving and happy then mostly like you are, but if your parents hate each other, you siblings are jealous of each other than you will try much harder to be happy plus there is always vicious circle meaning you would likely pick a wrong life partner like your parents… that’s why I say happiness is also dependent on your luck or environment for some people just are doomed! But that’s a life, just make the best of it… it’s almost like someone can afford a Ferrari some can’t afford a car
ОтветитьUrgh.. that dog “experiment” why? Why? Torture for no reason , no option but to give up.
Ответитьor your wife :P
marriage is logic and mathematic trap for low iq.
just love each other and plan financialy togheter? why get very bad % risk and gouvernement involved?
marriage is literal masochism.
Dr. Rob, I appreciate the wisdom of this interview... BUT... if a dog is whimpering and his spirit is broken (i.e., "learned helplessness"), then please don't belittle the size of the electric shock the dog is experiencing. It's an incredibly valuable study and I am grateful that we have the data (I've referred to this study many times throughout my work), but please call it what it is: Animal abuse for human gain. Let's not normalize it by acting like it's something other than abuse. Thank you and, again, I really value the content of this interview and that you're helping others to be happy. That's a really big deal. :)
ОтветитьIrritating that you cut off before saying the 4 goals at the start.
You should have just said it in summarized version, then say it again in more detail later.
Do daily.

Oh NO ….Please …..not ANOTHER expert telling us on how to live our lives and be happy !,, Just get out there and live your lives …..whatever
ОтветитьVERY UNHAPPY about the dog shocking experiment . Switched it off
Ответить🤐🤫Illegal Zoom link of happiness makes me happy. 🙃😁😛😊
ОтветитьBrilliant interview. Used to feel guilty about knowing that I would survive fine if my husband died, but that he would not do well without me. The importance of personal responsibility in our own happiness resonates so much!
ОтветитьGood content❤
ОтветитьThis was a brilliant conversation. Wow
ОтветитьGreat questions
ОтветитьSubscribed! Thought I was already! Yes we have a deal!! :)
ОтветитьMy husband was described as an introvert masquerading as an extrovert … Steven is probably the same
ОтветитьThere's nothing wrong with divorce.
And no my friends had nothing to do with it.
Huge fan of the podcast but claiming no watchers would claim to be victims was a bit off in a society where victimhood is celebrated.
ОтветитьThis is great! A lot of value here
ОтветитьI just love what you had to say about the ‘Easter egg’ purpose
ОтветитьSteven has redeemed himself from the Jada podcast, this was a great discussion.
ОтветитьLove this guy and this episode
ОтветитьAs a single woman who is continually lost friends because they prioritized trauma bond relationships over their own sense of self, I don't think I could stomach listening to this guy. I live in poverty and I still enjoy life more than any CEO I've listened to, If anyone's a happiness expert it's me I just don't brag about it😂😂
ОтветитьAs an single introvert living below means in a dying town who grooves on reading research in sociology and city planning rather than interacting with grasping, dieting, moaning life forms... I feel seen
ОтветитьPlease bring Tonny Robbins to your podcast
ОтветитьLearn being content #1. People praise ambition instead of praising being content no matter where you are, what you do, how much you make. Once you are there, see if there's a way to improve it.Most just seek that unattainable ambition. Be it marriage, work, etc. Once they get it, they want something else.
ОтветитьYou guys didn't mention the 3rd step to the step-by-step plan you got me waiting🥲😆
1. Define your non-negotiable morals
2. Contemplation
3. ???
Unless I have missed it someone help
Wonderful video!❤
ОтветитьHe lost me at yhe dalai lama....no sicko advice for me
ОтветитьCan anyone list the books Dr Waldinger mentioned in the interview?
ОтветитьThe part about women fearing the "I love you" and men the woman having sex with someone else is a cultural thing rooted in our sexist history and current stereotypes. It wouldn't make sense to not fear a man having sex with someone else just as much if him raising someone else's children is the main concern. Also, it wouldn't make sense for a man to not fear an "I love you" to another man than him since that too could imply that the woman could have children with someone else.
ОтветитьPlenty of people think they are victims … there is an epidemic of perceived victimisation. I actually think it says a lot about the high calibre of people you associate with that you don’t think people see themselves as victims.
ОтветитьWould you die for your country? seems to be a very American question that people from other countries dont really understand🤣 also purpose often seems to mean that we're in a position to influence people. why do all the postcasters seem to have found their purpose (same is obviously true for other successful people)? Its the old narrative of success and being of importance and higher importance than other people. I think there is purpose without that pursuit of other peoples reverence that for instance can be an enjoyment of life as a wild playground where you can can experience the very different possibilities of your body and mind.
ОтветитьFentanyl is one name for a pain killer containing opioids, deaths of this nature are also a problem in the UK. Whilst fentanyl itself hasn’t been an issue, In 2019, the UK had the worlds highest rate of prescribed opioid consumption. England currently is in an opioid epidemic. Deaths from opioids are increasing year on year. Scotland has the most drugs deaths in Europe.. including illicit substances.
ОтветитьI’m from Argentina and I love the show and I would love to share it with people that I know but I can’t because most people can’t understand English. I really think that the show would grow if at least there are Spanish subtitles! Hope one day you and your team can add them! Best wishes from Argentina 🩵🤍🩵
ОтветитьThank you, this is the start of MY journey, it’s put me on a brighter path ❤
ОтветитьWow I wanted this conversation to continue. thank you for this discovery
ОтветитьHere I was thinking I was subscribed…Steven has been calling me out all this time 😅.
ОтветитьWho else is wishing for an episode with Oprah? 😜
ОтветитьWaldinger might be happier if he changed his name to Wallbanger. The process of doing that would be a buzz too.
ОтветитьHow can Ellen Langer make allusions to being an originator of mindfulness concepts, when everyone knows it is a cornerstone of Buddhism, which goes backs 2500 yeas. And women have been involved as nuns since the very beginning. Jon Kabot Zinn presents the ancient practice with proper historical context within the MBSR clinic.
ОтветитьSteven you always ask great questions - making things clear and relatable to everyone! thanks to yr guest too everything explained in an understandable way. v interesting stuff!
ОтветитьIm trying to find the timestamp where he talks about friendship and divorce, can someone please direct me. Thanks :)
