I only eat one meal a day (dinner) and almost fall asleep after. Really have to fight the urge to sleep. I take Vitamin D3 every day but usually after eating. I will try the B1 and hope it helps.

ОтветитьDrink tea or Green Tea (my favorite) immediately after you finish eating (i’d rather my tea or green tea being strong or dark colored in other means), that’s how i %99 avoided the sleep coma and that little %1 when i had the sleep coma was because my tea or green was too hot for me to drink so i had to wait……
ОтветитьI've been intermittent fasting my entire life. I always skipped breakfast even when going to school as a kid because it always gave me a stomach ache during class. I've also been an extreme carnivore my whole entire life as well, so I do not need to moderate my protein intake because my body has grown up to be keto adaptive since my childhood. I might get gout some day, but I'll deal with that when I cross that bridge. For now, I'm very hyperactive after a meal. I only looked up this video because I thought I had a problem since everyone I know gets food coma but me. Now I know that I'm supposed to feel this energetic after a meal. :D

ОтветитьI workout a lot. In shape, try to sleep manageable times. Drink apple cider vinegar in mornings, and I started getting tingling in my feet. When I breathe out etc. No idea why. I just ate a chicken Caesar salad as my first meal at 130pm and got some tingling afterwards. Any advice?

ОтветитьI've been on keto for years, and more seriously in the past 6 months. It took my blood sugar from prediabetic to normal and I lost 57 pounds. I gradually switched over to OMAD most days and that was an improvement. Despite this strict diet, I have extreme tiredness after meals that continues to wreck my life. Thanks for the advice. Here's how I am going to employ it. My plan for the next couple of days is to fast, with coffee and tea only. When I break my fast, I will take apple cider vinegar before meals, cut the amount of protein and fat in the meal, and take D3 and K2 before bedtime. I know I will be more productive and alert during fasting. It's the transition to eating that is the test for me. I intend to learn from it. I have 40 pounds to go and a productive life to reclaim. Wish me luck.
ОтветитьI've been on keto omad for about 8 months now.I remain very tired after my meal.I have Crohns disease,controlled by Budesonide and Azathioprine.Maybe the Crohn and tablets are involved in my post meal tiredness?
I perhaps eat too much meat,eg,on 'lamb chop day's,I eat 8 chops with half a plate of vegetables.
Sausages can be 10 plus veg.
Etc.

Ответитьi have been instinctually not eating until noon, but mostly not eat until 6 or 8 pm. Doctors have been useless. I’m on anti-depressants and every blood test they say I’m OK. How do I check for insulin resistance?

ОтветитьMy mom remembered, I ate caramel corn before going to sleep. When I awoke at 3am, I couldn't go back to sleep. My mom told me sugar makes me lose sleep. She gave me a glass of water. I fell asleep right after drinking it. I wonder it's certain sugars. Cause, I fell asleep after adding sugar to table sugar to a hot corn cereal. But, I didn't have acid yet.

ОтветитьI get sleepy when I eat really fatty animal foods too. If you eat two thick slices of pork belly and 4 eggs for breakfast, you’d be useless for a good 3 hours. Happens to me quite often. I’m beginning to lower adjust my fat intake.
ОтветитьI've put on 40lbs the last 2yrs cause I work, eat and sleep. I work 12-14hrs a day and won't eat at all til I get home cause no matter what I eat big or small, I get a headache and become very sleepy after eating. On top of that, I been taking 6-9 Excedrin daily for the last 10yrs for headaches. Finally got a VA appt on the 8th coming up to get checked out. Both kidneys ache now.

I've been doing OMAD more often over the past couple of months, and now I'm experiencing extreme fatigue whenever I eat. I started taking ACV throughout the day, especially immediately before, during & after I eat, but still, very tired.

ОтветитьThank you Dr. Berg. I am on the diet exactly 1 week and feel so much better. I lost 2.8 lbs. which is huge for me and my my post menopausal belly decreased 2". I joined your memebership which is a huge support system!!!!! Sometimes I can literally pass out for about an hour after I eat. I now know why and hope to cure that. Thank you thank you !!! ОтветитьFreshman year of high school, I had math class right after lunch, and the teacher had the most monotone voice and most boring tone😅 I would always fall into a food coma and “miss” the entire lesson. All I had for lunch was a sandwich with an apple, and I still had terrible food comas.

ОтветитьThis is me. I wondered why I was so sleepy on Day 2 and Day 4 when I ate lunch, I fasted in between and felt great. It is a sleepy tired, like I just spent the day at the pool, not quite the same as a Thanksgiving-day carb crash. It seems like the Day 4 sleepiness is a little less than Day 2 so I’m glad to hear that it is going to get better.
