Somebody tell me how roboquest is even a roguelite i see not a single rogue element in the game? Enlighten me

brotato kinda has meta progression, when you finish a run with your characters you unlock their specific items, some of which are just busted

Roboquest is the GOAT and is on Gamepass

Hard disagree on Roboquest being in a top list at all but hey that’s okay! The last time I tried it out for a few hours a few months ago and I found it pretty dull and boring, especially when comparing it to Gunfire Reborn. It felt quite shallow, like something is missing in this game. Maybe it gets better when playing with friends. I saw some potential though since the gunplay was quite nice.

Also I’m surprised Brotato made it to top 1. Maybe an unpopular opinion or my taste is just pure dog sh*t but that wasn’t a 10/10 game for me either. Rather an 8/10. I own almost all Vampire Survivor style games and had the most fun with Death Must Die. It’s similar to Halls of Torment but instead of mixing Diablo 2 and Vampire Survivors into a game it leans more towards a Hades + Vampire Survivors mixup. It does more things right than Halls of Torment in my opinion (except for the auto attack movement speed penalty, that is meh). If you haven’t tried it out yet give it a shot.

yeah it was better than 2020 and 2021, but there was no elden ring, there was no big game that could be considered a classic. goty literally was a rpg full of political propaganda and bestialism. yeah it was a good year for indie but thats it.

"the greatest year in gaming", yeah, look up the games that came out along with the ps2, and see how many of them still hold up against this year. those days, they still made classics, do you honestly think that dave the diver or some garbage like alan wake 2 which nobody played, will be remembered? seriously, the year of starfield, gollum and diablo 4, "the greatest year in gaming", yeah.

BACKPACK HERO!

It's definitely the best year in gaming. There's 4 undeniable years: 1998, 2004, 2018 and 2023, being overall the best for everybody.

Magicraft and Crown Trick! 2 games that complement each other perfectly!
They somehow slipped right under almost everyone's radar, people need to play these games, especially Magicraft so the makers are inspired to give it the attention it deserves, it's possibly the ultimate rougelite mechanic, they're still working on it, it needs to me much longer, because the combinations and interactions between your stuff is literally endless.
and Crown Trick needs a sequel!

Brotato is a game I've sunk too many hours into. Definitely deserving of the top spot here. The customization and content is insane for a five dollar game. Worth every penny.

i absolutely love roboquest. For the past 2 week ive been starting my game sesh playing roboquest. i enjoy playing the game as well as use the game to warm up my aim and movement for other games. Surprisingly in my top ten games on this year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great video sir

It took me 17 hours of gameplay on roboquest to see everything...still one of my favorites, I just wish there was more content right now

I am currently playing Battle Shapers early access. it's a fps roguelite with unlocking stuff like Dead cells and boss/music design like megaman. Roboquest is really fun even after a lot of runs, hope

I am a roguelike guy now after playing Returnal as my first roguelike....After Returnal I lost my mind playing Dead Cells, Risk of Rain 2, Hades, Curse of the Dead Gods, etc and now Astral Ascent just came out on PS5 and I am having fun playing that one... You know though... A very good roguelite you missed is called Doomsday Hunters. Have you played that one?

I'm new to pc gaming and just picked up noita. I know it's not new but it's been good even though i suck at it. Can't even get past the first zone 😂
