Have a 17 year old happy used to have 4 head Tajima... Tajima for hats all the way. I am looking new machines deciding between Tajima Happy or Melco. Tajima is like $10k more for similar features of Happy.

I have been researching so many machines and have reached out and spoken to so many sales reps. How did you sort through all of that to land on Tajima? I am going to be a startup soon and just want to be "smart" about my decision without worrying about each manufacturer saying detrimental things about each other. Thanks

I bought the TMEZ because I wanted the position alignment system (PAS). That feature sold me. The SWF is a fine machine. It now has everything including automatic tension that the TMEZ has. I talked with the manager at the head office and asked how well it sewed 60 weight thread. He had never tested that but he ordered the needle and thread and emailed a picture. The local sales representative had me visit with the owner of an embroidery business which had a 4 head and the newest single head SWF that I was considering. I actually liked the display better but I like to be as exact as possible with placement. Only a camera, which is in some home embroidery machines, can top the PAS. Oh, I think a company did come up with a camera as an add on.

Would you happen to know anything about software updates for the Tajima?
