Thanks for the video. Is there a way to wire in a 12v doorbell chime so when the doorbell is swiped on the outside panel, it rings the chime? I tried integrating one but was unsuccessful. I want more than the app to ring, if possible. Also, is there a limit to the number of users I can have on one door?

Hey Lou out of interest can you set it up so each lock is independent. For example a front gate purely for mail etc. But then a front door key pad for entry to the house.

Hi Lou and all. I am new to Access. I want to use it to open a gate. I have an Apollo 635 636 gate opener. The existing button is hooked to the board's Gnd and Input connectors (12Volt). How would I connect the Access hub to this board? What ports would I use on the hub to connect to the board? Where can I find this out if you do not know the answer? Thanks. Love your videos.

Still awesome! I can't wait for the new videos - can you talk more about adding a mag lock to the dry terminal? how would that work? Does that mean getting a 1AMP adapter? New to this and just setting it up.

Hi Lou or anyone, I believe I have run into an amperage issue. Our mag locks take 500 ma and we have a 4 door setup for our main entrance that we want to control from one hub. With four mag locks it ends up being 2 Amps and the locks do not stay energized. Any ideas on what we could do?

Hi Lou, I want to do something similar but I want to unlock specific locks with my access readers. Basically I have the same setup as you, 2 access readers, 2 door locks, 1 access hub. Is it possible to tell the system access reader #1 unlocks only lock #1, and access reader #2 unlocks only lock #2 with only 1 access hub? Thank you!

thanks Lou, we were looking at the upiquiti and were 'guessing' that we could use one door access system to manage two doors. We have a series of bays that have a front entrance and then another door in the back. If you wire both the front and the back doors to the same control when you unlock the front door it is going to unluck the back door at the same time. SO as long as it is low risk to have the second door also unluck this would work well? See that the video was from last year, how has the installation gone at your facility?

Hi Lou,

Good video, could you list the hardware you used? I'd be curious on the 300/600 door locks as well as motion sensors you used. Door bell and UNIFI products your call.

One question : Door sensor : do they output 12V to REX ?
REX is expecting 12V signal or this vill damage it ?

If I'm listening to this correctly you can use one hub to control a double door access entry. Meaning I can use one hub to control two magnets is that correct?

Hi. This is pretty cool. I was just looking for a system for small private school here in NYC and all the other videos I've seen about ubiquiti door access have been single unit reviews mostly.

Anyway to connect? I want to install a system for 3 doors here at our place. We have an old Dahua system installed by a previous hobbyist IT guy thats beginning to fail after almost a decade.

Wanted to re-use as much as I could (door strikes, ethernet wiring, etc.)

Lets say now you install that camera on front door, and an attacker rocks up with a high voltage power supply, or a taser stun gun and zaps the camera? will it blow up the system crash the hub and kill the power to the magnetic locks. ? the camera has a cat5 cable, smash camera from wall, rip out cable and apply 33kvac between cat5 cable and ground? blowup the whole system including the expensive dream machine. They have movs? that will not stop this type of attack thou i bet?

Thanks for the video. Question - currently run unifi in my house and i have an old alarm system. I only use it for self monitoring and not to a service. Was thinking of switching to the unifi access but I have about 12 windows and 4 doors. The windows are your simple magnetic contacts. With my alarm system they each go into a zone to know if its opened or closed. I have not seen much about this mentioned but do you know if unifi works in this sort of way? would i be able to tell which window might be open with the simple contacts?
