Thought I was purchasing something genuinely good.
They steal your money with this crap. Some days people show up at my place.. and the cameras did absolutely NOTHING!
I go over and check my settings.. a moment later. The camera sends a notification. Lmao 🤦🏻‍♂️
There was nothing there.
They work when they want.
I render this out of 10… my rating is a 4.5
Don’t waste your money and time.
They will keep you busy with see nothing clips a super expensive battery replacement. Costing you double.

I just bought the 5 pack… I had nest cam before this…
There is no comparison between the 2 systems.
I want to be able to open the app. Select the camera and see what has happened that day whether motion was triggered or not…
Right now my cameras are armed and I can walk in front of them and nothing happens…

Due to the poor night vision without a flood light this is not recommended for an three story building since it wont record a clear video to the parking lot ?

This is a 10/10 exceptional product review video. I was on the fence on this product and you gave way more information than the product page and their FQA. Goes beyond an overview, almost a tutorial (including mounting basics) and you also offered some competitor products.

This seems like the right product for me. Thanks for the comprehensive overview and advice.

I used mine for 6-months and encountered too many problems.... 1) The app only supports the latest versions of iOS or Android and NO web access. So, once my iPhone became 2+ years old, the app was not updated and a large warning message was displayed that you cannot remove. 2). I chose to use the local storage option (via USB in the control module), and it took the app longer and longer to load - up to 1 minute just to get a listing, then another 30-seconds. So it can take upwards of 1-1.5 minutes just to display a video. What's worst is as the list of videos gets longer, so does the time it takes to download the listing. Also, once you are looking at a video, other cameras cannot record. If one camera is recording, you cannot view a video or see "live view" on any other cameras.... The system is single-threaded, that is once a camera is busy, nothing else works. So, if somebody is trying to break into your house or there's a lot of activity, chances are ZERO you will be able to see, let alone interact (2-way speaker) with anything. 3). Sometimes alerts and recordings just stop working for a week or two. During that time, you have performed every possible debugging action possible, then all of a sudden, it starts working again. I believe this is some problem at Amazon. 4) The cameras start recording about 10-seconds (at least on my cameras) after movement is detected, so by the time the recording happens, the car, person is usually long gone. There is a lot of strange "white noise" that drowns out the actual noise you need to hear (people's voices, etc), so sound recording is very below average. 5) the system performs NO caching, so if you just viewed a video and want to look at it (or another one), it has to re-download everything (with the long wait).

Really like the Blink, until they went to the usb or cloud. Old camera was able to view pictures, videos, and save just straight to app.

I purchased this system with the local usb storage, if you don’t buy cloud storage, it’s useless! It turns on as a doorbell camera and No video clips ….. waste of money…Don’t Buy It!!!

This is a great review very thorough thank you! Costco has these on sale right now for $150 that includes four of the outdoor cameras, the module and also a single indoor camera. Great deal if you ask me!

Ah 15 or 20 miles wind. I'm not good at numbers so I'd have to feel that to see how strong that is. But good it seems then the mics aren't too sensitive. Where is the mic on the camera though could you wind screen it perhaps? Not all mics have this wind problem. Omni mics hear wind like your ears do when you have the windows down in your car and wind is blowing into them. I don't know about figure 8 ones. These must be cardioid.

Don’t waste your money on this Blink garbage system! I’ve had it for about two years and have on and off issues with it and calling in Blink’s technicians is a joke can’t understand most of them and it sounds like they’re reading out of a book trying to figure it out as well!

I have three, they are unreliable and the video detection is delayed when triggered, often the source has traveled out of frame prior to recording. They often lose contact with the sync module even when within 20 feet. Any movement of flowers, trees or animals (cats and dogs included) will trigger them.

If the usb storage gets filled, does it just record over the older content?

Did you say the range is only a 100' from the Wi-Fi connector? How can I get it like 300'

so which is better than blink? where's the kind with 4k+ resolution? Its crazy how the news media and all that has the highest quality but give the citizens the weakest lowest quality smh as expected lol.

Mine is being returned... The camera can only display a live view for a max of 60 seconds and motion detection range is only 20 feet!
He says 30 feet for motion detection but I can tell you at night it won't trigger reliably at 20 feet.
