A drink with no name
Ответить"compostable" often only means compostable in high temp facilities
ОтветитьThe idea of using straw (I assume you mean like hay) in a drink makes my whole body itch. I have a bad allergy to grass and hay so I cant even imagine what that would do to my mouth and stomach. 😖
ОтветитьI like him best when he’s drunk. His true man comes out.
ОтветитьVegan sugar is that common. Most countries that produce sugar use animal bone shard to filter/refine the sugar cane. So most sugar is normally not vegan.
ОтветитьSome granulated sugar is actually processed through bone char, that’s why it says it’s a vegan sugar
ОтветитьI am interested in the background music that was playing.
ОтветитьInstantly went and watched it was golden
ОтветитьThank you, Meredith
ОтветитьA tip for your bottle cleaning: Take a bit of dish soap and salt. It can just be regular table salt, but I'm partial to epsom salt because it's usually chunkier, so it dissolves less readily. Bonus for a combo for differing granule sizes. Pour a bunch of salt in there, use a funnel. Pour in your soap. Then juuust enough water to make it sloshable without dissolving the salt. Then stopper it up and shake the ever loving hell out of it. Really take your pent up frustration at the way capitalism has ruinbed our planet and our bodies out on that bottle. The granules scrub the inside of the bottle of any residue, as well as being antimicrobial. And you most likely have the materials on hand, anyways.
Ответитьtiki mugs are the bongs of the cocktail universe.
ОтветитьThose solid rod barspoons are actually much more useful for lefties. Hopefully someone produces a reverse twist barspoon some day, but until then I’ll stick with the rod style.
ОтветитьHow well would a mead do in one of those small barrels?
ОтветитьThe sugar straws Greg was talking about are specifically made from sugarcane fibers. They're really sturdy, don't taste bad (very slightly sweet as you might be able to guess), and don't go soggy in 15 minutes. Very recommended over paper straws.

Metal straws are one of those things like canvas shopping bags that you need to use in place of the plastic alternative like hundreds of times without losing or breaking it before you're net positive on environmental impact. Unironically just use plastic.
Ответитьa last word + a trinidad sour = the last sour
Ответить..... I don't see why no one has made a sit stand sink yet... I mean we have solid reliable and flexible water tubing and wouldn't be hard to make it happen.
ОтветитьThere is nothing more sexy than some guy talking about his shaft...
OHH grow up people I'm talking about the spoon
bamboo straws?
ОтветитьThank you! Wow! 🎉
ОтветитьI didn't realize this video was longer than an hour. It kinda just felt like hanging out with a cool dude who is passionately talking about his interests. I don't drink often but this was fascinating. Good video.
ОтветитьRegular cane sugar is whitened by a filtration system containing charred bones.
ОтветитьFlubby plenis
ОтветитьNgl I figured the shakers you used were like, hundreds, hence why you said "I understand if you can't afford them", but shitty shakers cost just as much as the ones you use
ОтветитьI can hear you laundry going lmao
ОтветитьTry making a mint tincture, let a bunch of bruised mint leaves steep in white rum or vodka for 5 days.
ОтветитьIt amazes me how people in the food and drink business can not know regular sugar is processed using animal bones.
ОтветитьIsn't White sugar bleached on bone char? So vegan would be unbleached
ОтветитьI'm only 5ft tall. Higher sinks and counters would be a problem for some of us. It's just manageable as it is. Actually I could go lower.
ОтветитьMuddler top is for LAYERING. Not saying that's it's intended design, but it is amazingly good for it. Liquid flows down the spiral, hits the muddler and spreads in an even layer. Amazingly good. Also presses mint nicely.
ОтветитьDude simple syrup is not 2 part sugar and 1 part water 😂
ОтветитьMake Mint Tea, use that as the water in the syrup.
ОтветитьWe make fresh mint simple syrup every year for lemonade and mojitos out of garden mint. Make simple syrup, allow it to cool for a few minutes, pour it over about 2-3 cups of whole fresh mint leaves. You can bruise the leaves slightly, but it doesn’t make much of a difference. Once it cools, we slightly muddle it, strain everything, and you have some mint simple syrup that is pretty strong. It lasts a little less than a month in the fridge (although it never lasts that long in our house). It’s strong enough to get a nice mint flavor in cocktails and lemonade.
ОтветитьJust found your page...
You: What the fuck is vegan sugar???
Me: SUBSCRIBED
Dont play video games. But really liked this series. Much love, best wishes. Holmen
Ответитьsomething tells me that smoker gets used for more then just cocktails
ОтветитьFor cleaning bottles for your syrups, go to a homebrew supply store, and get a tub of "One-Step". It is an oxydizing cleaner that will also sterilize your glass. If you can't find it, you can use unscented Oxy-Clean laundry powder (it's essentially the same thing as One Step).
Fill the bottle with cold tap water, put a tablespoon of the powder in it, shake it up a bit, and let it sit for an hour or two. Rinse thoroughly with clean tapwater, and let it air-dry upside down in your dish rack.
That's how homebrewers clean and sterilize their beer bottles--it will work better than any kind of brush and soapy water, and it leaves NO soapy residue from the cleanser that might taint your syrup...
The whole world is too short not just kitchen sinks, we need to make the world accessible to tall people
ОтветитьTry my Method for making mint syrup Works great! Fresh mint leaves REMOVE THE STEMS FROM THE LEAVES VERY IMPORTANT! Layer leaves with CANE SUGAR, not the beet stuff, add 75ml Everclear for every 12-16 oz. Fill jar to the very top avoid air in the jar to prevent oxidation! Let sit in a DARK place for 5-7 days. works great for me, no funky flavors, the stems and the stems on the leaves have the nasty, funky dirt flavor in them. try it!
Ответитьthe mint syrup thing, you could try packing a jar with equal weight fresh mint and sugar, and letting the sugar leech all of the liquid and oils out of the mint. i’ve heard that the end product is more fruity than mint like, but it could be interesting nonetheless
ОтветитьLong video!! Perfect for as I do my dishes
ОтветитьBamboo straws are indeed compostable, they act like very sturdy hay straws, they will give your soil a good amount of fibers and some minerals, it will just take a bit more time to comp9st, preferably you break them down before composting
ОтветитьYou have to cold flash the mint. With ice after washing then pour cold simple over it.
ОтветитьThanks for this, just got back into the trade after a hiatus and this has helped my journey but also for my planned home bar 🍸
ОтветитьVideo on making yout own bitters?
