Your statement: „No composition is as strong as solid homogeneous armour“ is not relevant when we talk about protection against projectiles or penetrators in general. If the composite deflects the penetrator it does it‘s job and it doesn’t matter how „strong“ the composite is. That’s why the modern tanks use composites and other forms of protections such as Trophy.
ОтветитьThe tank doesn't have any problems shooting teenagers throwing stones
Ответить....BUT,AGAINST ARAB COUNTRIES,ITS PERFECT
........SO,AS LONG AS THESE ARE HAVING OUTDATED WEAPONRY,IT'S BASICALLY EXCELLENT
These days there're no tanks good enough against drone/UAV.
ОтветитьA disgraceful waste of technology always given to the goon savage squads .The world human population is being held hostage by this so called intelligence ! A COMPLETE WASTE .😮😮😮
Ответитьin my prospactive marcava is a worse designed tank . in battle mostly immobilizing a tank is count as a kill , so these marcava will get their engine down only by RPG
Ответитьdo u really have to do so long video about this... just make short video with message:: t-90 is only real tank ... that would be enough ...and other one what willl say: there is no better wunderwaffe than russian wunderwaffe
ОтветитьWe detroyed this fantasy toy and we will do it again🇱🇧
ОтветитьHOWEVER! The only tank which has VR Glass walls for crew is also called Merkava (":
Ответить'Engine as armour'?! God help the 'expert'!
ОтветитьNO MATCH FOR SCARY ROOSKIE TANKS NOW USED FOR LAWN ORNAMENTS IN UKRAINE LOL
Ответитьhey red effect in the battle of al asf al maakoul israel lost over 57 merkava tank
ОтветитьThe bull-s propaganda around this thing has been bothering me for a long time. It's a product of some very specific needs to fight what amounts to old soviet tanks and infantry in mostly irregular warfare. I really like the ability to carry infantry in the back, but only for the utility it has in evacuating wounded personnel, beside that ability the carrying of infantry is pretty impractical in most scenarios, although I could see an armored column with limited infantry protection provided by a small number of designated tanks, also makes it harder to specifically target the vehicles carrying infantry, but again mostly a downgrade compared to APC or IFV. As a tanks it's just average for modern standards, with again some adaptations for fighting asymmetrically.
ОтветитьThis tank gives the most protection for the crew than other tanks, that’s why it is considered one of the „best“ tanks. Not because it’s robust oder strong or whatever. But you talked a lot of the cons for the tank itself rather than the crew.
ОтветитьBRUH HOW DID SOMEONE FLIP A MERKAVA VERTICALLY IN THE THUMBNAIL 😭💀
Ответитьi like how people discussing that issue "about engine can't help against APFSDS" yet 1% of comment section at best have at least some decent knowledge on the matter :D like that of a videomaker which always compares tank vs tank (but not actually usage of a tank within army doctrine it is operating)
ОтветитьLeopard 2 da best mbt..
ОтветитьThe Merkava values crew protection over anything, so every component acts like protection to the crew. And the Merkava 4 uses a special paint from an IAI program to reduce thermal signature, and the gunners thermals were never obscured, before the driver had improved optics merkava drivers would be guided by the gunner since he had thermals, you are wrong on your first claim
The upper front plate is also quite unexposed, and is hard to hit. And fuel tanks are actually quite good at stopping rounds, the Merkavas design was to put crew protection over anything else, you should have done more reaearch.
i still think the tank has a great design it looks great compare to other tanks but yeah it needs some upgrades or something
ОтветитьHave a look at the British WW2 Archer tank destroyer if you are interested in a machine with the engine 'at the business end'!
(And the driver (sort of) at the back)
They have the Mk5 now.
ОтветитьGreat vid! Merkava is far from the "best" mbt in the world. But I do believe it is the best for Israel and the IDF. Israel's enemies do not field advanced top of the line mbt's that can fire apfsds. Instead, it faces rpg's, atgms, heat rounds, and older apfsds rounds from older tanks. As you mentioned, it appears to be quite effective at stopping these rounds, so the merkava seems to be the best choice for the IDF. Great video, loved it!
ОтветитьMerkava 4 is protecting Israel from It's Neighboors who don't posses even near such technologies so - It's Perfect! 🇮🇱
ОтветитьThe main strategy of Merkava is holding a defensive entrenched line, With extremely high fire power 3+ machine guns and even a mortar on top.
Door at the back for ammo supply/switching crew/wounded, Each tank acts like a mini fortress in battle.
May god help you if you plan attacking an Israeli armored brigade.
this guy affraid of Israel
ОтветитьIt’s like an IFV dressed up as a MBT
ОтветитьIts good for the region and defense, but I do no see it leading the charge as you will, in the battles, support roles sure, but the line breaker,
ОтветитьWe are very lucky that dumb ass like you is not engineering IDF tanks… this is the best tank in the world the deadliest one no army even US doesn’t have such a tank… the flows you mentioned are small and most of them were fixed, and more over it keeps the soldiers safe inside.
ОтветитьWith your observations why do the Israelis bother. I think they understand rather more about what is required with their experience of tank warfare than you. They are also more likely to restrict photography of their frontline tanks than other countries. Denigration shows your dismissal of their 60+ years of tank combat. Dissapointed by your comment.
ОтветитьI hate the Merkava because its made by yahudies
ОтветитьMeRKAVA STUPID TANK IN THE WORLD😆😆😆😆🖕.wtf tank
ОтветитьIt was designed by a Great Tank commander
ОтветитьThe design of the merkava is actually designed for counter terrorism ops, more then tank to tank engagements, which is why the engine is in front, to protect against RPGs, and the hatch in the back was made due to experiences in the yom kippur war where their centurions would run out of ammo on the golan height defenses and the tanks would have to pull back to replenish.
ОтветитьI’ll give the Merk it’s credit, it is a tough tank one way or another, despite its weaknesses, every tank has its weaknesses. I would actually love to see a video on the K2 black panther when you get the chance
ОтветитьZTZ99 is better in almost every way, even the ZTZ96 would give it a run for its money
ОтветитьGee according to you logic this tank is almost worthless.
ОтветитьThe fact that most, if not all of your sources are from a Russian website that is stated to be often wrong, does not fact-check, and is used for spreading propaganda, anything said in this is questionable…
ОтветитьThey are somewhat looks like T-90M
Ответить"Going into battle backwards"
IS2 War Thunder has entered the chat
I'm a merkava mechanic and I can tell you that there is no fuel tank in the front only at the back of the tank.
There is no problem with the thermal vision due to the engine being in the front.
slaps roof of merkava
You can kill so many Palestinian children with this thing
Not a lot of bells and whistles. they went cheap on the tank.
ОтветитьDude trust me all tank makers are trying to please you. They are scared of how critical you are I have talked to all of them. Next time someone makes a tank just call them and tell them what to do. They are too scared to call you.
ОтветитьMarkava never saw true challenger
ОтветитьWith a tank that is mostly used in desert environment in daytime, i kind of think the downside of the large heat signature is not as large say like a tank operating in subarctic conditions.
Most APC and IFV have the tank in the front regardless, even the one made to be used in subarctic conditions and there heat signature is probobly as much of a problem.
Of cause in reality tanks a rarely encountered straight on from the front making it possible to see the heat of the engine regardless.
And really, with modern optics, even just the heat of the tank as is, give it a huge signature.
With in mind that most IFV have the engine in front, i kind of think this is not that much of a problem in reality. The main reason tanks generally have the engine in the back is balance.
If you call it a tank its kind of odd, but if you call it a IFV, its pretty normal. (and yes, there exist other IFV with 120mm main gun)
i wont believe on a weapon content video in which the creator is not actually from any army unit..
ОтветитьOnly useful against childrens
Ответить
