So I followed this exactly, but the issue I'm having is that my gausian blur on the text copy layer is not adding white highlights, but rather black ones making it look like outlined text. Anyone know why this may be?

Thanks for a great tutorial, although I never managed to quite reach the same effect. Is there a way to achieve a similar result but with the shadow inside so it looks like 3d text cut into the layer background colour, maybe showing another layer below?

I'm using Photoshop 2021 or '22 idk but after I tried to create the shadows for my custom text it wouldn't work for me. Maybe because the video version is older. 😔
