Cat Saves Little Boy From Being Attacked by Neighbor's Dog

Get away from my kid! Then she looks back, sees the boys mother is with him before chasing the dog off and comes racing back to the boy❤

I have never been owned by a cat that could be described as "aloof." They are in your face and ON your face.

The strange thing is that the dog attacks the boy as if he was looking for him.

This is proof dogs don’t attack out of fear or territory, they attack because they naturally blood thirsty animals..

Cats can be amazingly loyal and protective. As a kid, me and my friends used to play street hockey and a neighbour hated it. He would take his mean guard dog outside, keeping it leashed on this flimsy tiny chain and let the dog bark and growl at us to scare us away.

One day, of course, the cheap chain broke and the dog got away. But it didn't get to hurt anyone. A stray cat we the neighbourhood children had befriended and named Narvath after a badass warrior princess in a book, turns out it was appropriate, was chilling on the porch of a house just across. When the dog attacked, she lunged at him full force and scared the dog away, clawing one of its eyes out in the fight. My friend's mom called the police, who brought animal control and the dog was taken away. Narvath escaped :)

We had been giving her treats, cold water during summer and sometimes smoked salmon for years (her favourite). While she was feral and never allowed a human to touch her, she was cool with kids and she was often following us around when we were playing outside. That day, if she hadn't been there, I don't want to think about how things could have ended. She was our Tara, our feline hero. The neighbour wanted Narvath euthanized because she hurt his dog but the animal control guy told him "good luck finding a vet who'll accept to kill a cat who saved 8 kids from getting mauled." Animal control never went after our kitty friend, and she got so much smoked salmon after 😸

Cats appear to be aloof but they are not I know I have 15 of them

I’ve had cats and dogs. Always strays. Pit bull, 10 lb poodle, golden, Irish, mutts. The dogs are always in a fenced space. No kids unless I’m actively present. Nothing’s perfect, but that’s the best I know. I’m 71. Learned early.

My cat clawed and bit the hell out of me when I had to pull it from the jaws of a large dog..it hurt..but he survived and now is a cuddlebug..not so much before.

When my husband was taking care of a blemish on my shoulder, I yelped because it hurt. My cat heard my cry, jumped on the counter and swatted at my husband, trying to defend me! Earning a cat's love takes time, but it's worth it.

Not unusual for any cat to climb into bed of baby, the norm in fact. Why do these stupid reporters say anything to make up something special, when in fact is normal, many Scottish babies in dank dark bedrooms owe their life to a cat cuddling into them in bed.
The real magic is the cat coming out to help a mate, cat will do this often given the right circumstances, glad the two little ones are fine.
