I agree with the comments about the narrator’s overzealous explanations. If they’re the funniest moments we should be able to hear them for ourselves. Ends up being utterly underwhelming.

You hear Peter Fonda talk about his actual mother who he had an understandably complex set of feelings about, as she committed suicide while she was in a mental hospital when he was ten and he didn’t know about the circumstances until he was 15.

You missed the scene in The Graduate where, to keep from laughing, Dustin Hoffman started banging his head against the wall. It plays out as berating himself for what he's just done, so they left it in the film, but he was really just trying to compose himself.
