I remember watching Little House on the Prairie when I was a child in the 80's and even as a child, I knew this man was a good man.

I am a life long admirer of Michael Landon. His kindness came through into our tv screen. My mother was a big fan too! Sure miss him. So glad I have his Hiwghway to Heaven series on DVDs to enjoy now!

My dad passed when I was 3 years old and my mother worked hard to support my siblings and I. Watching little house when I was younger became an important part of my child hood. Micheal Landon became a father figure I came to know and cherish. It was hard when I came to know that he passed the same way my father did, from cancer. Anything about him always seems to spike my interest and move me. He seems like he was an incredible person and I'm thankful for his work.

I didn't judge Landon's personal life. None of us knows what went on. I just know he was an extraordinarily hard worker with back to back successful TV series, and a good writer. He could bring on tears in an instant.

Why tragic? He was not alone, had a beautiful life and family, people loved him. He died, as we all will sooner or later. Tragic is leave behind a bad story, bad feelings, bad actcs. :)

HIs father dying after eating a bowl of soup was used in an episode where a lonely man explained why he never got attached to anyone.

I was personally never a fan of Landon, or Any of the 'pretty boy' actors. Tho he seemingly became deeply Christian and played many roles as thus. I never saw him as being Humble in any of those roles. He's likely 'rollin in the dirt' while knowing his daughter now plays "Teeter" on Yellowstone. She plays the Pink haired, Vulgar mouthed (Whom No One can understand what she's sayin) , Always Horny , 1st female in the Bunk House, always trying to jump some guys bones and more. What a HOOT

He was a flawed human being. However how he was able to do some of the topics they did on " Highway to Heaven." and "Little House on the Prairie." make them PG rated and yet not water it down or soft soap it was really incredible!! To weave those stories well enough to do that!!! Took a lot of talent to be sure!!!

His looks were just like him, dreamy and angelic and then his best role and character was to be an Angel sent to earth to help all sorts of people... Even as a little child I knew it was special, he was special! I didn't know who he was, never watched him before in anything else and never watched Bonanza and fell for him and his charm and charisma when I was only a young girl. Just mesmerised... There was and is something special about him and his personality. Like he had some kind of a light inside him both on and off screen. He must have filled some kind of a void or need in my life at the time and it still does. The magic or whatever it was is still there when I watch it now. It was him, basically. The magic was him and in him, both on screen and in real life. I will try and remember that every time I see or read about him now. RIP Angel Jonathan/ML! :)

Highway to Heaven, both Michael Landon and Victor French died young, too soon. This show addressed issues such as being a bigot, or how older people were taken advantage of in society. This would be a great movie in updated version Michael Landon alive would appreciate.
