Challenges to try in The Sims 4 if you're burnt out on the game

I literally just did the globetrotter challenge with my sim without realizing it was a challenge! Some of the most fun I’ve had in the game. Took a lot of landscape photos too. He made money by knitting, busking, and photography.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the white shadow from your Sims??

Idk if I'm burnout, the game just kind of sucks because every update breaks it more and like little things like how certain counters don't have matching cabinets, or have cabinets without matching swatches, just annoys me to the point where I don't want to play at all. I downloaded growing together for no reason because I haven't played since September. I think I'm done with this stupid game until EA takes the time to fix their product

I’m trying to find the time to do a “perfect sim” challenge where I do every job, aspiration, pack etc with only one sim and when I’m building the house I can only update the room that correlates with the career/aspiration or build a room. So I can only work on the kitchen when I’m doing good/mixology etc. but when I do athletic I can build a home gym. That sort of thing. It’s just finding the time

I quit for few years because of college, now I tried it back and everything feel new 😁

Lilly Muah's "One Pack Per Generation Challenge" seems very....FAMILIAR TO ME. Oh wait, it's the challenge I created August 2020 called "The Sims 4 Universe Legacy" challenge and posted it on The Sims 4 Challenges, Stories And Legacies forum page. Exactly the same down to disabling all packs and enabling one each generation based on release date.

First time hearing about the NISBI challenge and, as someone currently playing the Asylum Challenge on hard difficulty, I already know it's gonna drive me insane. I absolutely have to try it 😂

Hear me out...
If EA ever wants to start up the MySims stuff again, or want to transfer some of that to... idk, the switch...
Then they could make a pack to tease that.
MySims townies, and iconic locations.

Challenges that focus on a storyline are so confusing for me. I can’t do the Princess Legacy because I still don’t know how a dwarf turns into Cinderella or the Not So Berry where yellow can only be friends with mint (mint always dies before rose is even close to starting a family in my attempts)

Also check out (for anyone needing challenge ideas) the Get Collecting Legacy where each generation has to collect certain collections and Rishella’s Career Legacy where you can randomize the career order or do alphabetical.
I made a 51-generation document for my attempt that doesn’t use her storyline, just the requirements and so far my patience is holding out, getting me to Gen 6 for once in all my legacy attempts (I normally restart by Gen 2-3)

I love playing the Carl and Pam's The Sims Community challenges particularly the tournament challenges as they are short and time-constrained but the dynasties are fun too. My favourite is the The Ten-Gen Townie Dynasty Challenge which includes ISBI and moving in with townies which is good for those of us who aren't builders

why can't i see some of these challenges when i search on google?

I want to start this challenge where u like have to populate the entire sims world💀like you start out in a save file without any sims and you have two different sims who have to populate the world. So like theyd have to force themselves to have children together. If they only have 1 then one of the parents have to breed with them but if they have 2 or more they can just do it together so that means u need mccomand center and mc woohoo or ig u could use wicked whims. It can be on any life span but u have to wait until their birthday to age them up u cant just age up right away. So yeah they have to woohoo with each other to bring more sims to the world and once they are teens or adults they have to move out to a new home and start popping out those babies until u fill the world or until u feel like youve done enough. I feel like ig it could be called like "last sims on earth" or something like that it reminds me of those shorts where people "breed out the weird" or "breaking the family tree" and I'm sure theres a official challenge out there like this by someone on like a forum but this is just my own idea so idk i feel like it might get boring fast

I don't have snowy escape but I'm kinda into that globetrotter challenge...maybe I'll pick Brindleton Bay instead?

I created a few challenges: Storage Living (live in storage unit where max a skill opens another unit to expand living space and get new furniture items), Imposter (move in with and steal the identity of other Sims) Foster Kids (play 2-4 kids that move into another family every few days, teen meets goals playing only the kids to allow them to adopt siblings)

Loved this and loved seeing all of the creators that you featured. I co-wrote the "Broadway Legacy Challenge" (mostly I am proud of the design work I did for the layout of the challenge lol).
BUT have you ever thought of doing a Taylor Swift Legacy Challenge? Each generation would somehow tie to the theme/vibe of one of her albums? Instead of the Eras Tour the Eras Legacy. I dunno lol

I'm starting a very simple one similar to some of the other ones I call Cradle to Grave - you play can only control 1 sim only from when they are an infant till the sim dies. You simply can't click and control any other sim at all!!

Thank you so much for highlighting the OG Inherited Manor Challenge! There are three versions out currently for anyone who really loves a mix of gameplay and build challenges, including one base game version. The rules are all pretty similar, although I will say the most recent one includes ghosts, which is pretty fun 😅

I'll have to come back later to finish the video, but I am so looking forward to hearing more about these other challenges as well! The creativity of the community never ceases to amaze me.

One challenge I like to do is sort of a combo of the Globetrotter and One Pack Every Generation challenge. I start off by disabling all packs that add worlds to the game, and every generation my heir moves to a new world, upon which I re-enable the pack corresponding to it. And yes, that sim has to pursue a life that takes advantage of that pack's features. Once a previous generation dies off, that gen's house is converted to a museum, preventing anyone else from moving in there.

I have a legacy challenge! It’s 12 Gens based on the zodiac rising signs and houses, there’s challenges for each Gen based off their sign and which gen # they are, which depending on the combination can be harder or easier. It’s completely customizable because of that. It’s called the Ascendant Legacy Challenge and is on tumbl r 😊

Omg the Globetrotter one sounds like something I've been trying to come up with. I love hiking and traveling and wanted a sims challenge to play out out. Thanks for this!

I love the creativity of the community, but it’s pretty clear that most simmers have burnt out on TS4. Here’s to hoping TS5 is coming out next year.

will absolutly add some of these challenges into my casual gameplay save - the odd money and globetrotter ones spoke the most to me! Other challenges that I see people play that is not talked about much is the time of your life challenge and the lucid legacy challenge

3 challenges I’ve been wanting to see/play:

Lockdown challenge:
Your sim must live their entire life alone on their lot. They may only work from home and socialize electronically. The goal is to survive and complete the inner peace aspiration (or another aspiration if you don’t have spa day; bestselling author, either of the wealth ones, or any of the BG knowledge ones are doable for a base game only play through). Your sim can have a cat or dog but must complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration in addition to inner peace (or other) aspiration if so. They can also use lot traits to help them. Hard mode: add the off the grid and/or simple living lot challenges.

Variation on the All Lot Challenges Challenge:
Play with all lot challenges on and finish one aspiration from every category, including the Inner Peace aspiration if you have it.

The 100 super baby Legacy Challenge:
Exactly what is sounds like! Every baby in the 100 baby challenge must be a super sim. Infants can’t age up until they earn all motor and social milestones (if you have growing together), toddlers must max all skills, children must max all child skills and complete all child aspirations and have an A in school plus having high confidence if applicable, teens must have all character traits in range for the positive traits and have earned all scouts badges (if you have parenthood), have an A in school and complete all teen aspirations or one aspiration from each base game category excluding Family, Food, Fortune, and Love for practicality (too time consuming or requires you be an adult). Each Head of Household must max all skills and complete all aspirations plus acquire all reward traits including the career ones. All other 100 baby challenge rules apply (except where conflicting with the super sim aspect). The goal is to complete the 100 baby challenge in 10 generations or less while following all the super sim age up rules. I’m not entirely sure it’s possible lol

I forgot to add... if you do decide to work on the Globetrotter Challenge, just don't accidentally let your sim die on the LAST CHALLENGE like a certain someone did (aka me) in front of your whole stream Caleb Vatore is attempting to bring her back to life with ambrosia but it's a task and a half!

If you're gonna do a lEPacy challenge my recommendation is to couple Expansion Packs with their corresponding numbered Game Pack. For example:

Gen 1 - Get To work + Outdoor Retreat
Gen 2 - Get Together + Spa Day
Gen 3 - City Living + Dine Out
etc

It actually works out pretty well and makes for some interesting dynamics or storytelling such as being famous jungle explorer and a vampire veterinarian lol. Then if you want to spice things up, you can also put them in a wheel spin. So that way at the birth/start of each Gen, you won't know what you're doing until the time comes!

Is isbi and the asylum challenge the same thing

I'm also an avid reader as well as an almost daily Simmer. I read all kinds of genres, fiction, & nonfiction. Quite often, I get involved with characters, and I'm not ready to let them go... so I make them in The Sims.

I try to make them as they are described in the books physically and in behaviors, skills, clothing, etc.

I'm currently doing a hard one that will take most of the packs. It's the 6 Guardians from the Nora Roberts Guardians trilogy and includes a female artist that is a seer; her partner a male spellcaster; a mermaid; her male partner a time traveler; warrior cursed to be immortal; and his love a lycan/werewolf archeologist.

The only one in the group that is an issue is the time traveler. Luckily in the story he does more transporting than serious time traveling. He's supposed to have a pocket watch but I had to alter it to a specific wristwatch that he wears with all outfits.

The mermaid has bracelets similar to wonder woman... and so I had to just use big bracelets that kind of match on each wrist. Currently I'm working on theur skills and personalities. Once I get that done I'll upload those and yhen work on the 2 characters they have to fight... evil goddess & a demon... that will be hard.

I love the Inherited Manor Challenge. She has put out a new one for 2023 that I've been doing. It's so fun lol.
