Love yuzu pepper. Add a pinch to your soup. It immediately makes it so much more complex and flavor layered. Best souvenir to bring back from Japan.

Hmmm I love citrusy condiments. I once bought a miso-yuzu condiment by accident because I thought you can drink it because of the packaging. Wasn't drinkable 🤣 So I googled what I actually bought and after that I bought some fish filets put the condiment in it and baked in in the oven. It was so good!!

Thank you so much for this episode. I was four weeks in japan in 2015 and again in 2017. 2015 in Takayama ill eat a local special uma sashimi with an green paste i'd never eat again. Thanks to your channel, it turns out it was Yuzu Kosho. Here in germany its easy to get it, and so i had it on fine meat an other foods. This flavour takes me back to japan. Thank you so much 🤗

I've never heard of it but we had some type of weird lime tree that grew in our backyard in Virginia. Huge thorns just like that tree but the fruit is much smaller. Now that I have seen this, I have to find some of that to try.

So they use both the peels and the pulp. The peels are fermented. What do they do with the pulp in the meantime?

I know it might sound silly but it wasabi paste and dried wasabi in Japan actual wasabi? Only reason I ask is that most wasabi in the UK is actually horseradish and if your lucky maybe 1% actual wasabi.
I hope to bring some of this back with me in a suit case! :B of course with all the other condiments and pokemon plush

Back in the day I couldn't imagine there were so many sorts of citrus fruits. I still discover new ones. I ate citrus, lemons, oranges, limes, grapefruit, clementines, mandarines, mandarine oranges and blood oranges. But there are still more like amanatsu, kiyomis, kumquats, kinnows, calamondis and of course yuzus.

I hope I didn't forget any I have eaten. Sometimes its hard to differentiate what I ate and what I didn't. Clementines and mandarines I usually treat as the same fruit even if one looks and tastes different than the other.

After seeing this video in bed last night, I decided to get a jar at my local Asian market. I know why this can be addicting. It reminds me a lot of chili lime. It's lemony but savory, then a mild kick follows immediately after. I ate it with grilled mackerel and some rice. Really happy that I stumbled on this video!
