off topic your voice is so soothing
ОтветитьMods...mods are the answer....main-giant barbarian, karlach-wildfire druid, laezel-drakewarden with a rifle, Gale alchemist/wizard...add scarlet warlock mod for poison and fire beams...
ОтветитьSo i tried this Holy Warrior Build, but i dont get these 2 lvl 3 Spellslots. Took the same last two lvls into War Cleric but only got lvl 2 Spellslots.? is this only possible on honor mode ? :D can s1 explain pls
ОтветитьAlso bg3 if anything says hit chance of <70% it misses 95% of the time! Good rule to remember.
ОтветитьMy first Honor Mode try was a disaster that just kept on going. Accidentally broke my Paladin's Oath (3 times), and accidentally had to kill the Oathbreaker Knight while farming the 10k to get my Oath back. So, basically, I was left with a level 8 Paladin Tav I couldn't respec and who couldn't use his Oath of the Ancients powers. Somehow I managed to get pretty far into Act 3, but got killed by Orin due to some INCREDIBLY bad roles. Karlach missed two (2!) 85% hit throws in a row and Gale got stunned despite a pretty high +Skill to his saving throws. Doesn't matter, still had fun and going again. Already back in Act 2 - Oath intact and some slightly different builds for the companions this time.
On another point: My Tav in my second playthrough after the game's release was a Bard with a pretty similar to your Killer Bard.
Steam deck has honor mode cheese, you can force quit out of the game and go back to the last save. I’ve only done it a few times and I don’t feel bad 😂
ОтветитьThanks for all the great content. 🎉
ОтветитьGreat group comp. I mentioned in my other comment your killing Bard sounds like my very first Tav I used to beat Tactician mode. I would make alterations to the Light Cleric myself. Whatever I did I would have Warlock dip 2 for the Eldritch blast. Make use of the Potent Robe and Birthright. But mostly using a Corusation ring while under the effect of a light spell. And using Magic Missile to either spread the love to many enemies or stack the radiating orb effect on one big baddie. I think a modified version of your cool Icebreaker build would work great. Give a little Wizardly love to the group. Make sure to get Bless with the build. Great debuffer. And helps the Killing Bard with multiple lesser enemies or to nuke from a distance.
ОтветитьMy first Tav was basically the killing Bard with Ring of regeneration + Broodmother's revenge coats both hand crossbows with 1d6 poison at the start of combat. Hellfire crossbow is nice when you attack from hiding.
ОтветитьJust wanted to say this party guide just works so well. Makes the end game totally doable. The insights about how to max single target burst damage are invaluable. All that d&d experience just made this noobie one happy camper on his second playthrough. The difference with an optimised and smart party setup like this is night and day. Went from tense encounters to actually laughing sometimes at how fast tough enemies went down. The combo of that thrower and the killer bard by lvl 12 is just nuts. Thanks man.
ОтветитьHey guys so I desperately need help, I wasn't able to get the gloves of kushibo for the throwbearian. Is the build ruined??? Or is there a replacement I can use?
ОтветитьFor a pally nuke I've tested a pally 2 figter 2 swords bard 8 for some double down on extra dmg with flourish, good spells, high spell provression and social interactions
ОтветитьNice video, Colby! Just a suggestion though: since the goal is to kill enemies with burst damage before they get a turn, I would put a high priority on initiative. Basically, if you get the Alert feat on all your characters, you'll almost always move first, which should make the burst damage strategy way more reliable!
ОтветитьGreat video! I love your content. Have you thought of making a party build around the staff of arcane synergy and spell attacks? Something like 1 cleric and 3 sorlocks?
ОтветитьDoing a goldielocks (bard) and her 3 owlbears run on honour mode. Bard fighter rogue multiclass and so far 10/? Moon druid. All boss run, just finished act 2. I beat kethric with 3 lvl 5 moonbeam concentraction and 12 extra summons. Its been a blast. Usually never taking more than a few hits per encounter. Hardest fight so far was hag. Bard charisma and three characters to give enhance makes almost ever check have advantage.
ОтветитьWhat makes the holy warrior better than something like the critlander for example, does it just do more damage?.
ОтветитьJust figured you should know, I beat honor mode yesterday with this party setup. Only alteration was that Gale joined in the final fight instead of Shadowhart since I was having no issue with HP or AOE. I owe my golden die to you, friend.
Ответить"Just inflict the dead condition"
Sounds good
I NEED to see you do an Elemental Honor Mode party build for the Ice Breaker! I also would love to see you do an ambusher/darkness Honor Mode party build 👀
Ответитьgreat channel mate, very educative and friendly!
ОтветитьI just discovered this channel, and boy howdy am I glad I did. The way he describes things just resonates so well with my weird brain. I look forward to listening to more of his videos
Ответитьplaying a paladin trying to resist the durge. the cape you get from the minion that turns you invisible on kill also goes well with great weapons master.
ОтветитьMy disappointment about bg3 is thst it doesnt have the basic tank, healer, mechanic, flank mechanic
I thought it was going to be like xcom but with dnd elements.
Alas, best strategy is to be the highest dps as possible.
2 minutes and 8 seconds before you even start talking about the content. I get you have to plug your thing but maybe don't take so long.
ОтветитьI think wyll karlach and minthara are the best having 2 charisma characters and a gloomstalker assassin lmao
ОтветитьCall me stupid or something but how am I supposed to respec mid build and go from barb 5 pali 2 to pali 5 barb 2?? 🤔
Ответить4x Locadins just running around Smiting everything.
ОтветитьAlgorithm food.
ОтветитьI just finished honour mode with these builds, I got scared during the last fight after learning the tavern brawler can't throw things at the netherbrain but my holy warrior solo'd the netherbrain anyway (it was insane) thank you :)
ОтветитьWhich of these four builds would you recommend dropping if I want to roll with a pugilist monk? Holy Warrior?
ОтветитьMy only worry with this comp is losing out on always having a globe of invulnerability prepped and ready to go.
Edit: Actually there are an insane amount of scrolls for this now that I think about it.
I just beat honor mode and my party consisted of the following (Act 3 Spoilers!!)
12 Spores Duird - Great temp hp buff, great summoning capability, spike growth and plant growth top slow enemies
2 Fighter/ 10 Swords Bard - Dual wielding hand crossbows and abusing Slashing Flourish Ranged for most of combats, along with having a wide variety of spells that buff allies, add terrain control, and out-of-combat utility
12 Tempest Cleric (Respec'd to 12 Champion Fighter) - Dual Wielder, Alert, plus abusing just about every piece of equipment that upped crit rate while using two Deva Maces blasted through every boss fight
1 Ranger/ 11 Evoker Wizard - Ranger for Heavy armor proficiency and resistance to fire/poison/cold damage (I say Cold cuz poison isn't common and many items give fire res) Dual wielder with staves and having every blasting spell in the game at the ready
first thought on clicking this video: hot nerd alert!
ОтветитьColby you are the GOAT, this is the most timely video for my needs. Cheers! Keep up the baller content.
ОтветитьThis channel really is my most favourite place on earth. 😂❤
ОтветитьHas anyone here play-tested or otherwise thought of doing a Monk - 6 (open hand), Rogue - 3 (thief), Barbarian - 3 (beserk)?
ОтветитьWill be using these as an easy cheese for that sweet sweet golden die. Thank you!
Ответитьi would love to see some gameplay from you of these builds synergising with each other :D
ОтветитьThat's an awesome shirt!
ОтветитьReally impressed by this video.
ОтветитьA guide for dishonorable gamers to beat 'honor' mode lmao.
ОтветитьJust finished honor mode with this party! Thanks so much for the guide, it reallymade the game pretty much stress free. The only thing that was close for me was cazador, but after that Ascended astarian as the swords bard with 9 attacks would basically kill anything in one round.
ОтветитьHere my party just finish act 2 in honor. A monk way of the fist (its the melee of the group, lockpick) keep cc and burst, not tavern brawler but dex and wis to have high ac. A abjuration wizard a war priest and a bard/warlock ( bard is my TAV so its the social caracter). No problem up to now😮
Ответитьlove this video. do a second one! ❤️
ОтветитьYeah, this party works really well. In act 2 of honor mode and have yet to encounter any combat that made me feel worried. FWIW I replaced the Tavern Brawler Thrower with my own abjuration wizard tank (1 sorc / 11 wiz w/ Polearm Master and Sentinel using Skinburster / Helm of Arcane Acuity, 16 str, 14 con, 16 int). The party has a disgusting amount of damage - as the abjur wizard you can use movement to deal damage similar to your clerics Spirit Guardians by soaking up all of the enemies reactions by forcing attacks of opportunities (which at lv 7 does 44 - 72 cold damage to wet targets) and Sentinel stops movement from YOUR AoO meaning with Polearm Master enemies won't be able to move past you.
ОтветитьI know it might be considered pretty crazy to a majority of the building community but I always end up with a Summoner Moon Druid in my party by Act 3. Charging in the biggest boss battles in the game with an Owlbear that does 3 magical claw attacks that basically can’t die due to being able to gain 140HP twice per short rest, 2 Ice Mephets, a Woodland Being, a Wood Woad and a Myrmidon. Just burying the opposition in action economy.
