This scene is nothing like the source material. It also weird because in the books blood of elves I believe there is only suppose to be like 5 witchers instead of more than 10 Witchers like what you see in the Netflix adaptation.

Sad that Season 3 would crash and burn after this good ending and totally fail to live up to the previous two seasons.

Everybody is talking about how a dozen of Witchers couldn’t slay 2 monsters and that’s OK but why is no one asking WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK WAS THAT SCENE?! I mean, it makes no sense at all. Season 2 was an absolute shitshow.

IMO, the Witchers being killed by the Basilisks isn't too surprising and does make sense. Yes, they're the best fighters against monsters but that doesn't make them invincible against them, because in spite of their mutations they're still basically human. We've seen plenty of times throughout the first season that Geralt has struggled against monsters like the Strega and he nearly died to those poisonous corpse eaters, and these Basiliks are huge and ferocious. Plus, there's the theme of the Witcher series that the Witchers are slowly dying out, and this scene compounds that fact.

I think I'd be more approving of this scene if the other Witchers put up more of a fight before they died. I get that these beasts were "new" to them but they died like NPCs. Lazy writing imo.

When u play game and watch this show.....

Season 1 was great, there were changes from the books but those changes made sense and added to the story perfectly. (I'm talking specifically about the expanded story of Jennefer).
Season 2, on the other hand, has absolutely nothing to do with the original story in the books, although it was promised that the series would stick to the plot of the books.
Season 2 is for me one big disappointment, so I will not watch the series again and I can well understand that Henry Cavill under these circumstances his role no longer wants to play.

Funny and crazy how Ciri and Geralt were very close to the wild hunt generals, it would be like playing geralt lvl 9 agaisn't a lvl 60 boss.

If the demon just wanted to go home, why the hell did it do any of this when it possessed Ciri?
Better question is why these Netflix writers think their fanfics are better than the actual narrative of the books?

The serie is so mediocre, the girl is just a bad actress and the scream is is badly performanced. A total insult to the Witcher, the real one. There are no reason to discuss if witchers can win, the series doesn't represent any part of The Witcher, the real one, not even 1%

Anyone who has read the books knows how bad this show is. characters in the witcher book have many shades of gray they are neither good nor bad they just have their own story motives and goals to achieve and in the series it is made for stupid people who expect a black and white story. I hope that some good director in the future will make the witcher that Andrzej Sapkowski deserves for his beautiful story. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

They took a blockbuster, a masterpiece.
They called in no-name screenwriters-showrunners who have never written a single blockbuster in their lives, because they are mediocre...and allowed them, under the setting of a blockbuster, in which the writing would be enough for 8 seasons, to create a completely different story, which is no match original.
