I went to the canary islands and literally every person i talked to ( even in shops and resturaunts ) was not spanish they were either brittish or italian. Weird.

I'm British-Swedish but I moved to southern Spain (Andalusia) last year. I also happen to live near Gibraltar (around a 20 minute drive)

I am an American living in Portugal and have taken many road trips into Spain as far as Madrid and down into Andalusia and the Extremadura. I love the extremadura, and referring to it as the “West Virginia of Spanish” is simply unfair. There are so many beautiful, medieval and Moorish towns that are like little jewels that you come upon and wouldn’t know about, unless you wandered like Don Quixote, across its vast plain. The places I likes best are Caceres, Zafra, Badajoz and especially Merida. It is a town built on a huge archeological site, as Merida was the ancient Roman capital for Iberia. Their archeological museum is really impressive. The people are happy you visit, the towns are quaint and there’s delicious food, comfortable places to stay that are inexpensive. If you’re interested in archaeological sites, much older than the ancient Roman empire, I would visit antequera and its sacred Dolmens. Fun fact: In the west of Catalonia (called in Catalan ''terres de Lleida) they speak like a Catalan, but they produce with E. For example: Hola-hole, also, thighs, in Catalan, are ''Vambes'' but in Lleida, they call it ''Quets'' (parts of my family comes from Lleida)

When you talked about the chatholic kings, Isabella and ferdinand, the second photo you showed are NOT the catholic kings but Petronila queen of Aragon and Count Ramon Berenguer from Barcelona (you can see it by the crests on each side, they are not the catholic king's ones). Petronila and Ramón lived before the Catholic kings. Check your sources please.

Mhhh the thing with Navarre and Basque Country is that the Basque's identity can't be understood without Navarre, a Basque who is pro Euskal Herria (Basque Country but more in a way of Basque nation) would say that the Basques should join Navarre, not the opposite, historically al of Navarre was Basque (Basque speaker), even part of Aragon, but nowadays the south of Navarre is fully Spanish while the north remains Basque, some of the "most Basque people" come from little mountain towns from the north of Navarre so... this could give you a better view of the identity of that part of the peninsula.

The Peoples of Spain, they have such a rich identity and beautiful culture and history, they owe it to the humanity TO DEFEND AND PROTECT THEIR BEAUTIFUL NATIONS AND REGIONS FROM ISLAMOINVADERS coming from Morroco to destroy all Spanish and Human cultures of Europe.

Actually Canarias has 8 islands, La Graciosa was in 2018 recogised as the 8th island, is just over lanzarote.
