Yes I have done the don't too many times😳
ОтветитьI commend you for the care and respect you give your clients. After I found a stylist/colorist w your approach I was so happy then she moved. From then on I couldn't find anyone who did it your way. I would try to suggest w/o offense but most do not want to be told by a layperson how to do. I used to wonder if they knew the foils were sliding because that would mean faster regrowth lines and I'd have to come back sooner so more money for them but guess what..I never went back. I just resorted to doing ac tone on tone at home..its no longer highlighted and I miss my highlights so I started exploring how to do it st home and that's how I found your video. I wish you were in my area..I'd definitely go to you! Good work!
ОтветитьCurly or not , chunky hihgliths has the Dos and Donts, I personally messy around all the time with my hair, britney 90s, brit 00s, and all kind of "fashion" ... it depends what effect you wanna have, and how you USE your hair. Just because some people doesnt like chunky or babies, yada yada yada IT DOES MATTER THE FOIL HONEY!
the time, the temperature, aproximety with the head, all that jazz !!!
it takes 2 to tango , but takes 1.000.000 videos and tutorials a life experiences to do the way you wanna do BUT without F... YOUR HAIR, I loved this video, hate some comments. be free from " dictators" , shes is HELPING people! cmon!!!
sorry my english, Xs from BR.
maybe your way is easier for you.
ОтветитьOn the "good" side, are you alrenating between doing a slice then a weave, repeate? or are you doing a weave the entire side? Thanks!
ОтветитьI like the don't much better
ОтветитьThis is an old video, but if you see this PLEASE let me know the better way to achieve chunky highlights. Because the "dont" side is so close to what I wanted but I just wanted it with slightly thinner more spaced out highlights and i have no idea what its called.
ОтветитьThis is my third time watching this video I can’t thank you enough for all of your content!❤
Ответитьwhen im foiling the hair touching the foil Dosent get covered how do I fix this? is it just not enough product? but when I put more bleach on the packet overflows?
ОтветитьI am not a hair stylist at all, I’m actually a nurse lol. I do a lot of stuff on my own after a TON of research. I have been obsessed with learning everything hair these days. You are so kind to do this. All the little tips and tricks and reasoning is invaluable. I would think for anyone, especially those that are color specialists and want to continually educate themselves. Those that critique you and make comments about how your doing it is quite laughable. I don’t understand why this is such a touchy subject for some. Let people be. She’s really doing everyone a favor and giving really good information. Pride is a crutch. Put it aside.
Keep doing you girl!❤
I have always pressed my foils to make them look flat and pretty so this was super helpful. Also, I learned that folding the foils in insulates them and helps with processing. Is that true?
ОтветитьVery informative video. You did very good job. Thanks a lot. You saved my future
ОтветитьVery helpful for so many people. I have seen so many don't sides through Covid.
ОтветитьWhat ppl need to understand that those chunky lines actually look better on naturally curly and frizzy (also vety long) hair like mine. That's why i have to do my own highlights. Every time I go to a hairdresser for highlights, and i tell them i want a bit chunkier highlights further apart, they still put them too close together. It's a mess. After 3 attempts i gave up and have to do it myself. Just let people have the hairstyles they actually want. It's a matter of taste, not right/wrong.
ОтветитьI like both sides but I have curly and thick when I said thick I meant thick. Every time I go to salon they do like you did glide side and for my curly hair it looks like they put color all over but the don’t side looks better for me cause I can see highlights. However I like both specifically do side on straight hair.
ОтветитьThe quote-on-quote “don’t” side isn’t necessarily incorrect. That streaky style is called “chunky highlights” and I’m going to be getting them soon! 😊
Ответитьthank you my school left me feeling lost
ОтветитьHi Kristy, Do you offer in person hands on classes?
ОтветитьHow much bleach do you use with lightner x?
ОтветитьYOUR AN AMAZING HAIRDRESSER MINE IS ALWAYS STRIPEY SO ANNOYING BRISBANE AUS
ОтветитьI sent u a message on instagram with pictures
ОтветитьI saw one colorist apply the bleach onto the foil first to help saturate the other side of the weave and keep it in place on the foil. Seemed like a good technique
ОтветитьWhich swartzkopf did you use?
ОтветитьWhat about the back ?
ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing your knowledge! It helped so much! God bless you !
ОтветитьI honestly do like the effect of the chunky lines on the don’t side lol. But as a hairstylist I see value in every kind of effect and technique no matter how old or out of date it is because those things can always be used in modern coloring. I think these days nothings off limits but I do really appreciate your showing us some examples of both do’s and dont’s. Great video thank you
ОтветитьI mix each quadrant fresh right at my station. My clients love it and they know the processing time is more even.
ОтветитьWhen you say, "don't move the foil once it already lay down." Does it mean you don't do the technique where you put highlights or lowlights then colour the gray roots right after to process at the same time?
ОтветитьYou you not doing Mohawk way. If the Hair part in middle.
ОтветитьReally who does that.
ОтветитьSomeone told me that because the front of rhe hair had more heat that this area should be done last? Especially on darker hair as it can turn very very orange?
ОтветитьI'm a hairdresser and this is a disaster!!! First, you fold the top of the foil to the wrong side, secondly, you CAN'T squeeze the foil so hard that you squeeze the foil, bleach grows in the process,if bleach has no space in that part hair can break!!! THIS is horrible!!! This highlits technique we did 30 years ago!!!😱😱😱😱
ОтветитьРассказываете лучше, чем на моих парикмахерских курсах:)
ОтветитьYou just seeing new creators now. Trying out new stuff. I would to create something better than shitty foil.
ОтветитьWhy aren’t you going to saturate very much. You are sorry.
ОтветитьShe is blonde. Looks red head to me.
ОтветитьYour sniffing throughout the video is so off-putting 🤢🤮
ОтветитьWhat if your client wants the don't side?
ОтветитьThis is gold!
ОтветитьThank you!
You are the professional hair designer
My foils slip alot, I use less hair. Is it just technic and practice?
ОтветитьThank you!!!
ОтветитьSO HELPFUL!!!! THANK YOU!!!
ОтветитьI'm not a hairdresser but why do they not make foils in different sizes? For places like u were showing on the side-back, I wouldn't think you would need such a big piece that just gets in the way????
ОтветитьThank you so much. You have no idea how much your videos help me understand, and fix my techniques! I felt hopeless for the first few months of cosmetology school but hair is finally starting to make sense thanks to creators like you. ❣️
ОтветитьWill you please do a chunky foiling the wrong way with fashion colors. I don't mean totally wrong, only the part with the chunky highlights is what I like because I feel if they are fine then they blend into your hair more & make it a muddy grayish color & the bright fashion colors don't stand out as much. I would like to see blonde with whatever bright pretty color you choose for the chunky highlights. Please if you would?
ОтветитьNice 😊
ОтветитьWatching the donts is making me cringe….
