Reps - 6-15 (close to failure)
Sets - 12 sets per muscle per week, 4 exercises for 3 sets each
rests - longer rests are optimal, min 60 secs
progressive overload - increasing tension over time (weight or sets), repeating the same exercises helps monitor overload, but it'll become boring
compound movements = more efficient, make it fun for you

ОтветитьI just watched this and a few other videos. I just started hypertrophy training and im slowly increase my caloire intake would you say increasing 50 cals every 2 months is enough or too much? I dont want to cut and bulk, and i thought you could just slowly increase your metabolism slowly from what you hage said so do you think this sounds okay? Or would i have to cut and bulk?

ОтветитьI always felt like it is most efficient to do both arms and legs on the same day. Because, after you do a good 12 reps for your arms, you need to take a minute to pause before repeating those reps again. Why not use that spare minute to do lunges or squats, or whichever leg workout is appropriate for you? I am just starting to get back into the swing of things, as life trauma was affecting me for a good while. I am ready to be strong again!

What education or training did you use to get to the point you're at now? I'm trying to decide if I should go for an exercise science degree or if another different certification course would suffice.
