In my opinion, combining the bijuu chakra into his susanoo doesnt sound that complicated since it's absorbing massive pools of Chakra into one big thing of chakra.
Kurama's thing with Sasuke not having the experience could just be Sasuke isn't used to using the preta path to defend himself. Even if it doesn't use chakra it still needs to be mentally activated so his inexperience with using it for defense makes sense.

Sasuke fight in naruto in showdown he can use amentenjika (heavenly hand power) while he using takemikazuchi (flame control chidori) but lost rinnegan control he posses powerful rinnegan version rinne sharingan due six paths power but due to loss of chakra he can't control rinne sharingan so he can't use amentenjika in that time if he use he lose his eyesight

and I don't think u can use magma style as an example I mean he did already know how to use a rasen, so what's the big leap for a Naruto esc character to infuse a magma style with it ?? plus its something new sat the time we never saw so it just made sense ... but existing powers of the rinnegan that sasuke has only seen be done but never used ? It’s kinda just bad writing. They gave the characters waaaay too many abilities. Sharingan use to be a damn copy wheel and genjutsu immunity buff. Now it can do…everything. Rinnegan is just overkill. It’s bad writing. Technically Kakashi and Saskue should be spamming every single Justu they have ever seen in every battle.

Most of it can be explained away that he hadn't had the time to master all the abilities, Kurama states something along those lines when Sasuke was absorbing Naruto's chakra. That Sasuke had only just awakened the Rinnegan so he couldn't absorb chakra and use a jutsu at the same time.

But there is no reason he doesn't use them after the end of Shippuden (while I'm not a fan of the databooks, he has mastered them and can use all chakra natures) other than plot. The Rinnegan is so busted, Edo Nagata manhandled both Bee and Naruto effortlessly. It's been shown you can use multiple Paths at the same time, you can absorb EVERY chakra based ninjutsu, you can counter physical and chakra based attacks, you can heal yourself or revive yourself with chakra.
