I love the part when he said you cant stop this train I would cry if he died
ОтветитьJohn Henry was short nonetheless makes his feats that much greater
ОтветитьGrit, sweat, and love. Heck, I watch this just for some wholesome motivation.
ОтветитьEs una hermosa historia ❤❤
ОтветитьI LOVE YOUR VIDEO AND THE PEOPLE IN IT I S UNBELIEVABLE. Thank you this video reminded me of when i was young and the speach he gave to his boy was the way i lived my life i have worked HARD all my life from digging ditches to shoveling cow manure. I raised two kids by working 2 and 3 jobs at a time and where im from eastern Kentucky you took work where you could get it. So thank you for passing on what you have did.
Ответитьrobots should replace humans cuz they do much better work, faster and they dont need breaks!!!
ОтветитьHe literally said, if this thing can do it so can I.
Ответить"This 9lb hammer, is a little too heavy, for my size, lord, for my size"
God Bless John Henry.
That was really good
ОтветитьThis is an awesome rendition of an American Folk Tale. Even the deviations, yeah, no one cares, because the story is so good!!
Going to find more from this channel!
Til. Some. Fool. Brought. In. A. Steam. Drill
ОтветитьThis song is LIT
ОтветитьThis is something I dislike about the modern day and the internet. Everybodys so quick to dismiss folk tales and debunk everything leaving nothing left for human imagenation.
ОтветитьI used to shuck clams in a factory for a living. I was the fastest clam shucker in the universe. Me and about 15 other shuckers got replaced by a machine. I had it arranged that I could race the machine. On race day I was doing good, with the machine barely ahead by 2 gallons. Then the machine caught fire.
Ответитьit'd be so funny if that was actually his kid
ОтветитьFrom one railtoader to another : God bless John Henry....
ОтветитьI love this
Ответитьjohn henery is pure chad energy
ОтветитьIf it were like the unions used to be they would sabotage the machine every time they tried to use it
ОтветитьNo. He died. Why do they feel the need to change the ending?? They're just hell bent on changing and ruining every single thing they possibly can...absolutely pathetic.
ОтветитьSadddddddddddddddddddd
ОтветитьThere's a lot of true tales that turn out to be totally fabricated to the extent they're the reverse of reality
ОтветитьBeing as I have done rail work in the mines, I say you did an excellent job on this story which I am very familiar with.
ОтветитьOnce upon a time there was a race horse big strong and fast.
His name was John Henry. I loved to watch JH race. He was magnificent.
This has it a bit backwards, John Henry was born a free man, and died a slave. Also he was 5"1'
ОтветитьWhy did the story go that he died from exhaustion? Where did that idea come from?
ОтветитьWow.
ОтветитьThis was a terrible adaptation of the John Henry myth. It destroyed the entire meaning and moral of the story for some crappy feel-good ending.
Ответить"Thats too fast... ill be faster...
Its too strong... ill be stronger...
Its made of steel and metal it won't let up... then neither will I..." mans mind set was to go further and grind down to the soul...
Just want to comment on this, this was best short film that I want just to cry because how good this film is, especially the music, ever since I came to this film, it just wants me to have motivation, thank you to people at Omeleto, thank you.
Ответитьthis is the best story i have ever heard and i don't even like history because i could not find out why we need to know about died people and i am so sorry for the lost of your father jack henry
ОтветитьI love this story!!! It shows with determination anything is possible.
ОтветитьI learn that in school tall tale
Ответитьmy grandpa used to tell me it the same way as the disney movie but he also stood for racial EQUALITY not black or white supremacy or whatever
Ответитьcool i am glad he lived. and i did not know he was christian. i loved the song when he said the good lord says tell the mountain to move and the mountains will move so my good lord said.
ОтветитьI have the actual John Henry railroad spike
ОтветитьGood Ole great great great grandfather John Henry never met ya but man I wish I did
Best damn railroad worker ever lived and yes that sledgehammer is made from his chains
Absolute strength!
ОтветитьI'm glad to read that they're still teaching the Tall Tales in school. I remember thoroughly enjoying this and other stories 45-50 years ago-they really grab the imagination of children and inspire everyone!!
ОтветитьThis is probably your best one so far that I have seen at least I love most of your films some of them are okay and one or two I didn't like it all but what I do like is your approach to filmmaking and originality. Keep up the good work I'm going to keep watching.
ОтветитьThis is about as true as the original story.
ОтветитьGrit, Sweat, and LOVE.
ОтветитьI love Odetta singing about John Henry.
ОтветитьJohn Henry greatest human beinging ever lived.
ОтветитьLong John Henry. The Giant man took on a train and smoked the machines ass.
