1930's Oilfield Pump Jacks still in service Jan 2014 - Oil City, Oklahoma Part 1

Amazing those pumps work as well and as long as they do! Southern engineering at it's finest.

Just curious where in Oklahoma these videos were taken.  I haven't seen pumping units like that since I was a small child.

Those have got to be some shallow oil fields.

How much do they output per day?

Simple engineering is some of the most enduring.

At least it's a "well oiled" machine! 😄👍

How is it powered?

A must stop on vacation.
